*Shawns POV*

I sighed and held the flowers behind my back. I knocked on Carries door and she smiled at me.

"What's up?" She asked.

I handed her the floors and walked in. I felt like I was gonna cry but I didn't want her to see.

"I'm going on tour" I said quickly.

She looked at me with sad puppy dog eyes. She sat on the couch and sighed. I bit my bottom lip, sat next to her, and held her hand.

"I want you to come with me" I suddenly said.

I didn't think it through, but I can't live without her. she looked at me confused. I smiled and squeezed her hand.

"Or I could just cancel it..." I said sighing.

She looked at me, cupped my face, and frowned.

"Don't you ever say that ever again. I will never keep you from your dream ever" she said strictly.

I smiled and kissed her holding her hands. she rested her forehead against it and sniffled. I wiped away the tears on her cheeks.

"But I can't live without you" I mumbled.

She smiled. I knew she was thinking that she couldn't come with me because I know her to well. something inside her held her back, like she actually did want to go. she wiped away her tears and covered her face. I was pale and weak in the ankles.

"what about school and my family?" She asked.

I sighed and nodded. How could I just let her go that easily. I cant, i wont.

"Then I'll just have to stay here because I'm not letting you go" I mumbled.

She shook her head.

"You have to do this Shawn. its your dream" she replied as her voice cracked.

I stood up, walked over to the island table and sighed.

"But I can't!" I yelled smashing my hands against the table.

She jumped.

"Then I have to let you go" she said.

She walked over to me and grabbed my hands.

"You don't have too, I will" she replied reassuring herself.

I chuckled in disbelief.

I don't want-" I said.

She put her finger to my lips and looked at the floor.

"I have too" she muttered at the floor.

I hugged her tightly and let out all the pain that built up.

"Can I play you a song?" I asked.

She smiled and nodded. I sat her on the couch, pulled out my guitar and strummed a little.

She smiled.

She sobbed loudly and I pulled her to feet to hug her.

"That was the first cover wasn't it?" She asked.

I smiled and nodded. We sat there in silence.

"Can you just rip the bandaid off already?" I asked.

She nodded and sighed. She held my hands.

"Shawn we need to break up" she muttered.

I chuckled.

"You're absolutely perfect and I have no idea why I'm doing this. you deserve to be with your dream because it's important to you" she chuckled.

I smiled.

"I'm mean just look at her sparkle. I mean your star in Hollywood is gonna be the prettiest compared to me" she joked.

"I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see you win a Grammy. I will forever be your bestfriend even if I'm just sitting on the couch watching you play Madison square garden I will still say; that's my bestfriend up there" she said.

I pushed my hair back and wiped tears away. She kissed me passionately as her hair fell behind her ear.

"Please don't do this to me" I mumbled in between the kiss.

She chuckled and looked at the floor.

"I'm doing it for you" she said.

I took a deep breath and nodded.

"I love you so much" I said.

"I love you more" she mumbled.

I grabbed my jacket and kissed her lightly. I slid out the door and smiled. When I walked to the car she waved at me and blew me a kiss. I did the same and headed home. I had to get her to come with me.
