Interview

*Shawns POV*
I straightened my jacket and cleared my throat. Carrie came walking out of the washroom and smiled. She straightened her daisy dress walking over to me. I exhaled a couple times and smiled at her.

"Don't be nervous, you'll be fine" she tells me every time I go out on stage.

I smiled and nodded. She pecked my lips and held the small of my back. I walked out and the crowd cheered.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Shawn Mendes" the lady name Katherine said.

Everybody clapped and I waved. I sat on the couch and smiled.

"Great to be here" I said to her.

She smiled and held her cards in her hands.

"What made you decide to write this album?" She asked.

"Well I-I just really loved the idea of having my own album" I replied non-chalantely.

She nodded and smiled.

"What's your favorite lyrics from a song?" She asked.

"But just remember that we lay under the same stars" I sang.

She chuckled and the crowd cheered. I looked at Carrie and she held her hands together looking happy for me.

"So is there any special girl in your life right now?" She asked.

I looked at Carrie again and smiled.

"Yeah her name is Carrie and she's my bestfriend. She's been my bestfriend since 1st grade" I replied.

She smiled and Katherine did too. Everybody awed and I bit my lip.

"Well what's your future plans with her then?" Katherine asked.

"Well she's already my bestfriend and hopefully she'll be my wife for life" I replied.

Everybody awed again and cheered. Katherine smiled and chuckled.

"Well thank you for coming on our show and we'll see you tomorrow" she said to the camera.

Everybody clapped and I headed backstage. Carrie kissed me hard and I smiled.

"Did you really mean that last part?" She asked.

"Of course" I said pushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

She smiled and buried her face in my shirt. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tight.

*flashback*

"Carrie I can't do this" I whispered to her behind the curtain.

"Shawn listen, you'll do awesome out there because you're amazing" she replied. "You'll win this talent show and probably some girl's heart"

I grinned and she smiled. She hugged me, handed me my guitar, and stared at my eyes.

"You're an amazing singer Shawn and don't let anyone tell you different" she said.

I smiled and she kissed my cheek. She ran backstage. I looked at her and she put two thumbs up. I nodded and sighed. She walked in the audience and waved.

"But I don't want any other girl" I said to myself.

I sighed. I hummed and strummed my guitar.

"Oh" I sang.

Everybody began to clap. i bowed and smiled. Carrie jumped up and down as the crowd stood up clapping. I headed backstage and chuckled.

"Oh my gosh Shawn that was so freaking awesome! Oh my gosh did you see the crowd they loved you!" She said excitedly.

I chuckled and hugged her.

"Shawn!" A girl yelled behind me.

I looked at her as she walked over to me and Carrie.

"That was really cool" she said.

I smiled and kicked at the floor.

"Call me sometime" she said handing me a piece of paper.

Carrie smirked and nudged me. we began to walk backstage as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder. I pretended to put the piece of paper in my pocket and dropped it. I smiled at Carrie as we walked home.

*end of flashback*

"You're my favorite person in the whole world and I hope to have you by my side for the rest of my life because I love you" I said pushing a lock of hair behind her hair.

A tear rolled down her cheek and I wiped it. I kissed her cheek and smiled.
