Still At War... (Preston)

My feet echoing around the biome, Mitch and Jerome a little further behind while Rob was right by my side... A feeling of security spread through me whenever I remembered he was there...

Doubt consuming me I whipped my hand towards Rob, notifying him something was up. Freezing in my tracks I earned a worried look from Rob before spreading my wings, scouting for any ambushes.

"Preston? Is everything ok?" Mitch called from below me as I scanned the area. My eye catching a Wither Skeleton, diving down, claws outstretched and fangs bared I lunged at it, pinning it to the ground.

As it tried breaking free from my grasp. Screeching I sunk my teeth into its neck. Biting down smiling when a sickening crack was heard through out the biome warning any other mobs not to mess with us...

Releasing the Wither Skeleton a pang of pity slapped across my mind as his body crumpled to the ground. Turning around to walk away I gasped... Collapsing to the ground as the blue spread..

Down towards my leg..... Tears spilling from my eyes I gasped... Unable to move I lay on the floor.... Opening my mouth to speak no words came out.... Flinching as it spread painfully down my knee

I let out a screech giving away my position so Rob, Mitch and Jerome could come and find me... Footsteps rushing towards me at a quick pace I closed my mouth.

Jerome bounding through the forestry he immediately kneeled down once he spotted me. Placing his fuzzy paw on my heart I smiled as I felt a bit  of warmth spread through me...

"Feel better Preston?" Jerome joked defeat flickering behind his eyes...

"No.... Same as always... More painful THOUGH!!!!" I yelled at the last part, a shock of agony shooting through my leg. Flinching I snapped my attention back to Jerome trying to drift my thoughts away from

The pain.... Rob and Mitch rushing through the bushes I smiled at them, Rob immediately diving down towards me,

panic and worry etched onto his features as he glanced over my body making sure I had no more injuries than I already had.... I'm not keeping any promises!....

"Jerome is he injured?!" Rob panicked earning a chuckle from Jerome

"Not anymore than he already is... At this point right now Rob he can't even walk! I think it's best if he flies... Or were going to have to carry him, which is not a risk I'm going to take...

Don't want to be Set on fire.... Its bad fire.... Grass, water, and fluff is better.... Because that's what Bacca's need... Fire kills Bacca's ... Got it?" Jerome speeches earning giggles from Mitch.

"Got it Biggums!" Mitch piped as Rob gripped my hand unnoticed from the others.

"Hey Rob..." I greeted gazing into his eyes as Mitch and Jerome chatted in the background.

"Hey Preston..." Rob replied flashing a fake smile at me.

"I love you...." I whispered seeing something unfamiliar flicker through his eyes..... What was it?..... Watching Rob as he leaned towards me he brought his lips to my ear.

"I love you too Preston... No matter what happens..." Rob responded and I knew instantly he wasn't lying... He always tells the truth...

Leaning his head back I reached my arm to the back of his head bringing him closer to me and he obeyed knowing my intentions. Leaning closer towards me he gently placed his lips onto mine.

Butterflies exploding in my stomach as sparks exploded around us, Mitch and Jerome deafened as I kissed Rob.... This was Perfect...

But we were still at war...
