Preston's P.O.V.

I couldn't help but peek over my shoulder every once in a while. My heart cracking in two whenever I did. Blood stained teal scales where my fiery red ones used to be.

Spikes at the tips of them. Whenever Rob noticed I would glance at him out of the corner of my eye. Fake a smile then look back at the new features behind me.

Struggling to hide it from Rob a thought dawned on me. He was sure to see it when we stood up. Might as well tell him now, right?

"Preston? Are you alright? You seem....Off.." Rob pointed out. Snapping my attention to him I stared at his dark, coffee colored eyes.

The ones I loved. Always filled with care and kindness,. A hint of concern and worry hiding behind them as well.

"Yeah I'm fine......" I hesitated on telling him which earned more worry from Rob but knowing him he wasn't going to push the subject or anything.

"Alright......Preston, can you stand?" Rob asked causing me to tense thinking of a way to escape out of this one...Nope...There's none...I'm screwed....

"Ummmmm, Rob.....I don't want to.." I answered truthfully causing one of his eyebrows to raise as he stared at me. Confusion and disbelief now on his face I laughed a little.

"Why not Preston?" Rob questioned scooching closer to me so we were face to face. Our breath brushing each other's face.

"......I don't want you to see something..." I responded my eyes showing I was completely honest he gave me a quizzical look.

"Please Preston, I promise I won't judge you" Rob replied his eyes shining like a little puppy's I sighed. Giving in. A smile on Rob's lips he stood up, out stretching his hand I gladly accepted.

Being pulled upwards I felt them spread out, Rob's eyes growing wide as soon as they saw them. The shadow of them casting over me I turned around...

Hey sorry if I haven't updated in a while Gummy Bears my bad....I was really busy these past few days and still am. Trying to update at least two books a day though.

Sometimes three if I'm lucky. Ok so, this book is coming to a close soon. Not now, but around ten, fifteen more chapters so it's soon, but not too soon.

Hope you all enjoyed so far, I really do love writing this book. And I hope you guys love reading it. :) I'll see you guys soon.
