Poofless: Time Cant Keep Us Apart (Third Book!!)

Goodnight Kenny... (Preston)

Ok heads up, this is a Kenny and Preston chapter so if you're wondering why isn't anyone interrupting they're dead...Or asleep...Probably the second one...

"Guuuuuyyyyssss? I can't get uuuuuuppp! Remembeeeerrrr?!?!'' I whined earning little to no attention from anybody as they started walking away.

Awwwwwww.....Giving up trying I sighed, staring up at the night sky until someone remembered I couldn't get up on my own.

"Why don't you enjoy the stars for a bit Preston? Then I'll help you up..." A voice chirped and I giggled immediately knowing who it was.

"Shut da fudge up Kenny! I have been staring at them for five minutes it was exciting and fun until everyone left me alone.." I complained earning  laugh from him.

Watching him out of the corner of my eye a smile formed on my lips as he layed beside me. Shifting myself so I was facing Kenny our eyes locked.

His eyes shining from the reflection of the moon I got lost in his chocolate eyes. A smile dancing on both of our lips I felt myself lean in closer and so did he.

Not realizing what I was doing until our lips touched my eyes widened as he pressed against me and I pressed back.

My breath running low my stomach churned nauseatingly, this wasn't anything compared to how me and Rob kissed...There was nothing in this kiss...Only for one side...

Pulling away a smile stretched on Kenny's lips widely and I flashed a smile at him. His arm curling onto my waist he pulled me closer to him, resting my head on his shoulder I relaxed...

"Thanks Preston..." Kenny spoke and I smiled knowing now why he kissed me, just in case I never made it out of the experiment...Tears silently forming in my eyes I realized why...It was a goodbye present...

"No problem Kenny, if I don't make it out...I'll miss you..." I replied my voice now gentle so I wouldn't burst into tears.

"......You don't want to do this experiment, do you?" Kenny questioned, knowing I couldn't lie anymore I confessed.

"No....No I don't....I didn't even get to spend time with Mitch, or, or Lachlan! Vikk! I won't be able to make memories but how can I if I can't even move!" I cried out cuddling into Kenny as he

held me comfortingly, a feeling of security flicked in the back of my mind I rested my head in the crook of his neck, tears painfully spilling down my eyes.

Slithering my tail towards Kenny I wrapped my tail around our feet, a smile radiating around him I sighed..My eyelids closing slowly.

''When was the last time you slept Preston?" Kenny asked chuckling, his eyes sparking with curiosity as we stayed in a comfortable position, our legs tangled together perfectly.

"I don't sleep...I can't be huuuuuhhh tired.." I yawned my wings straightening before folding after a few moments...

"You want to try sleep?" Kenny wondered and I nodded, chuckling a bit he sat up, wrapping his arms around me securely Kenny lifted me up with ease.

Resting my head on his chest as I was carried bridal style a grin formed on my lips as he swooped down into his tent. The thing was big enough for two.

"Here ya go Preston.." Kenny cooed gently lowering me onto one side of the cushy square thing...What the heck was this?

"What is this?" I questioned earning a look from Kenny as I smacked the comfy thing with my hand earning a laugh from him.

"You're serious? This is a bed Preston, humans sleep on beds...Try sleeping, it's...relaxing.." Kenny cooed and I smirked.

Placing himself on the other end of the bed he layed down where the bed stuck up...I think Rob called that a pillow...I think..

Following his lead I lowered my head onto the comfy thing, my tail curling around his legs I watched as the light in the room dimmed to absolute darkness..

Feeling myself being pulled towards him I cuddled into him, shivers trickling down my spine as coldness swept over me

My eyelids closing I struggled to open them, giving up I sighed.....My wings folding so they weren't in the way I felt something cover myself, the coldness washing away.

"Goodnight Preston..." Kenny whispered and I yawned, feeling myself drift away into a land of slumber, not being able to open my mouth anymore...

Goodnight Kenny...
