His whole body disappearing into the water tears spilled uncontrollably as I stared into the deep, dark waters below. Steam rised off of the water causing my heart to crawl into my mouth....

Oh no......The ringing sound of a creeper hissed in my ears as distant sounding shrieks echoed across the area getting louder and louder until the ringing noise was as loud as the shrieks.

Jerome's P.O.V.

Both of them in sync with each other cracking sounds popped around the forest. Bubbles bouncing to the surface of the lake water my eyes widened realizing what was going to happen.

Whipping around I crouched onto all fours rushing towards Rob who was leaning on a rock that jutted out of the sand looming over him.

My heartbeat speeding up I felt my chest rise and fall viciously as my paws flew across the ground kicking up sand everytime I took another step.

"ROB RUN!!!!" I screamed earning his attention he snapped his head towards me, his eyes wide with worry and fear.

"JEROME!?!?!" Rob yelped as he jolted up straight no longer leaning on the rock he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.

"RUN ROB RUN!!!!! OR WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!" I blared my voice going into a snarl I tackled Rob to the ground as soon as the ringing sound got louder.

Water flying everywhere I stood on top of Rob as he layed down staring up at my face. Positioned on all fours as the water wet my fur.

Steaming hot the screech now silent I got off as soon as everything quieted down.......The waves catching all the way up to the trees on the other end of the forest my eyes widened

realizing what happened......The experiment failed.....Preston He.........Oh my gosh.....Rob jolting upwards we locked eye contact.

His heart shattering into millions of pieces as I sent him the message.....Preston was gone......Dead....Not coming back this time...

"Oh Jerome!" Rob cried out his knees crumpling underneath him he slammed his fists into the ground. Laying in a position as the sand below him

became wet as tears flowed down his face. My fur matted I let out a small whimper. My ears flattening on the back of my head I felt my tail droop going in between my legs....

He was gone.......He was actually gone....I just can't believe it....The unkillable....Was killed.......A thought occured to me causing me to break my heart in half.

What will the Pack think......
