Poofless: Time Cant Keep Us Apart (Third Book!!)

A Chance?

Flinching as I smacked across the ground, Choco and Kenny landed beside me, worry and concern filling their faces Choco helped me up while Kenny immediately rushed to Preston.

"Do you know what went wrong?!?!" Choco yelped worry slapped clearly on his face.

"I have an idea...It's spreading to his wings slowly, he won't be able to move soon..." I whispered estimating the time and Choco's face turned into a grim and regretful one.

"How long until then?" Choco questioned hopeful.

"Not sure....He only has about three months left though...It's not much but...There's nothing we can do..." I whispered looking at Choco.

"Well what if we cut off his wings!?!?" Choco mentioned and my eyes widened as the camp went silent...Everyone turned to stare at Choco, insane looks were shot towards Choco but he didn't stop.

"Think about it...When the water spreads down to his wings, we cut them off stopping the water! We stitch up his back and presto!!" Choco explained, hesitance dimmed across the area.

"It will be painful though!What about his tail!!" Jerome asked horrified at the thought.

"His tail is in his lower back, right now the water is attacking the upper half of his body right!?!? If we cut off the wings it won't be able to continue downwards to his legs and tail!!" Choco mentioned and everyone looked down..

"But what if he disagrees?" Mitch wondered curiously obviously hesitant about the whole idea and procedure.

"At this point I think he's desperate, Rob, Kenny..He's in obvious pain...It's the only chance, the other option...Is he doesn't survive and dies painfully..It's a huge risk, but it might be the only risk we can take..." Choco continued.

Kenny nodding agreeing with the situation I drifted my attention towards Preston, his eyes closed he looked peaceful..Not in pain when he was sleeping...For now...

Jerome held him close to him in his arms as Mitch tended to him, Mat watching from a distance yet still in ear shot if he wanted to say something.

"I believe we need to ask Preston first before straight away cutting his wings off! It's his body he has a say in this!" Mat cheered up and I smiled...At least he agreed with me..

"Anyone else not want to try this?!" Kenny asked

"I disagree with this, Mat's right we can't just chop off the only way he can move on his own without permission...It's not right...It's wrong.." Mitch stood up glaring at Kenny and Choco.

"Well....I'm all for it, I just want to know what Preston thinks first..Then will see...Like Mat said it's his decision..." Jerome agreed on both sides agitating Choco.

"WE HAVE A CHANCE TO SAVE HIM!!! AND YOU GUYS ARE SAYING NO!?!?!" Choco snapped annoyed getting our ideas the wrong way.

"CHOCO PLEASE!! They're not deciding yet until Preston wakes up, we'll see what he says and if he says yes than we'll continue with your plan, but for now it's no.." Mat pointed out sternly and I smiled.

So he might have a choice.....
