Rob's P.O.V.

My heart stopping as his eyes opened. My eyes widening I felt my mouth drop open. Completely speechless as he stared me in the eyes.

Locking eye contact we gazed into each other's eyes for a moment. Preston scrunching his eyes closed for a second he snapped them open right after.

Tears now falling from my face I saw sadness flash across Preston's face before he forced a weak smile on his lips. Flinching as he tried moving his back.

Preston slowly reached his arms in back of him. Pushing himself upwards I placed my arm in back of him for support as he sat up in my lap.

"Hi....." Preston mumbled and I stiffled a laugh......First thing he says when he wakes up after nearly dying....Hi....Wow....That is so like him.....

"Really? That's the first thing you say? HI!?!?!?" I screamed out Preston now trying his hardest not to laugh. A huge smirk on his face he nodded letting out a giggle.

"Yeah..." Preston replied smartly. A challenge hiding behind his eyes I stared upwards at the sky. My breath catching in my throat as I felt his head rest in the crook of my neck.

Warmth wrapping around my heart I felt a caring smile dance it's way onto my lips. My arms securely around Preston I leaned backwards. Carefully laying myself down, Preston on top of me.

Realization hit me....How lucky I actually was....I could have never found him....He could have died....My gosh what if I didn't find him?

Horrid thoughts filling my mind I felt Preston shift now on the ground laying beside me staring into the sky. Glancing at me once in a while.

"You know I thought I lost you forever Preston...." I choked out tears blurring my vision I saw Preston snap his attention towards me his eyes wide.

Reaching his hand towards me I closed my eyes as I felt him wipe away the sticky tears. His skin as soft as a baby's would be.

Snapping my eyes open afraid he disappeared I held my breath as I took in his appearances. Everything in the front was pretty much the same.

Except for his eyes....And hands.....His eyes were deep, dark blue. Like the bottom of the ocean spiked with lines of icy blue, like lightning bolts.

His hair the same just a litle bit lighter than before when he was a demon. Three straight lines on either sides of his neck caught my attention. They looked like cuts but I knew better....

Gills.......Preston continued to stare at me deep in thought. Preston zoned out.... Sighing I rested my head back on the ground, Preston snapping out of his faze.

"No need to be sad Robby, I'm here now right?" Preston questioned his eyes sparking with hope I realized why he was acting so weird....

He thought he wasn't real.... He thought this was just an illusion.....Oh........My poor baby....Extending my arm I wrapped it around his waist pulling him closer towards me.

"You're here Preston...You're here don't worry...You're real....And thanks by the way Preston....For coming back, I mean." I thanked his eyes shining the fake expression he was holding shattered showing the one I loved.

Silence falling between us I saw Preston glance in back of him. His eyes widening he immediately snapped his head back towards me. Shock and fear now in his eyes.

"Preston?" I wondered his chest rising and falling insanely quickly. What the hell did he see? Was it something bad?

"Ummm.......I don't know how to react to what I just saw Rob....It's new...'' Preston mumbled his eyes still wide I sat up trying to peek over him but he growled.

His hand slashing right in front of my face I felt my eyes widen. Sharp talons pointed out of his fingers he stared at them.

Opening his mouth my eyes grew even wider and so did his as he felt his teeth....They looked like shark teeth....

"Rob........I'm scared..." Preston whimpered letting out a growl quickly afterwards his eyes locked with mine. Fear the only thing on his face.

"Preston...Preston calm down it's alright.." I cooed failing to calm him down his chest now rapidly rising and falling I snatched the collar of his shirt slamming his lips onto mine.

Immediately silencing him I waited a few seconds before he started kissing back. A smile curling onto my lips as butterflies swirled gently around my stomach.

Fireworks ringing in my ears as adrenaline rushed through my veins the kiss lasted so long. But sadly it came to an end....

Like all good things do....Preston staring at me both of us breathless I opened my mouth to speak but Preston beat me to it.

"Thanks Rob....I really needed that.." Preston thanked bowing his head slightly to me as if I was a king I laughed at his gesture.

"No problem." I assured red spreading to his cheeks I felt mine heat up as well.

"I love you Rob" Preston cooed curling into my chest we lay as the night sky twinkled above us. This time I actually replied not making the same mistake.

"I love you too Preston" I responded a huge smile plastered on Preston's face a thought occured to me...
