Anxiousness immediately entering my stomach as Preston lunged into the sky, Choco right behind him I snapped my attention to Mitch, Jerome, Kenny and Mat who were all staring into the sky..

"You know I knew he was going to say no but it was worth a shot.." Kenny shrugged it off laughing as if it was nothing...Mat giving him a glare he silenced immediately giving me the chance to speak.

"Mat why did you come back?" I blurted out my curiosity getting the better of me in the silence, I just needed to know really badly.

"I didn't mean too...Choco was scouting when he said he saw something, going in to attack he tackled you..Preston basically beat him up until his...

Injury kicked in and you know the rest!" Mat explained and I nodded all of it connecting and making actual sense...

"His injury as you may say, has been increasingly painful...It's scary to think every night that Preston might have died today and nobody knew...The nerves when you think about it is painful...

The thought of going to wake up Preston to find him dead on the floor, not even imaginable for Jerome...

We all know he'll die but we don't like talking about it..." Mitch snapped out of no where, agitation clearly in his eyes..Anger for Mat pointing out Preston's conditions..

".....Sorry Mitch I didn't know.." Mat apologized sorryness actually in his voice as he spoke. Mitch's face immediately softening into a depressed one.

"It's alright, I just don't like talking about my friend's painful demise...And I know he doesn't like talking about it either.." Mitch assured earning a weak smile to spread on Mat's face.

"They've been scouting for a while now...You think they're alright usually Choco would be back by now...I'm worried.." Kenny pointed out concern dampening the mood.

Opening my mouth to assure they were fine shrieks and screeches echoed through the night. My eyes immediately snapping upwards I caught a glimpse of Preston dragging someone into the sky..

Before diving back down again with the mysterious winged figure, it wasn't Choco for sure....It looked like a girl...Preston's yells echoed before a girls voice yelled back silencing the area.

"Was that Preston?!?!?!" Jerome panicked immediately grabbing Mitch's hand assuringly needing comfort and security.

"Sounded like he was with a girl too...Must have been a female demon.." Mat pointed out and Jerome tensed, his eyes widening...We met a female demon in the Nether, it didn't end well...

"Do you guys think it was the one that attacked Jerome in the Nether?" Mitch panicked in a hurried tone..

"Wait a female demon attacked you guys?!?! They're usually peaceful the females!!" Kenny breathed out shock filling his face...Demons were automatically supposed to be thought of as agro..

What was inside his head?!?! Such a blonde...Smirking at my own little joke I glanced at the ground noticing two shadows looming over us, coming closer..

My head slowly lifting I relaxed seeing Choco and Preston moving towards us, Choco walking while Preston hovered next to him...Immediate happiness bubbling in my stomach when Preston's eyes met mine.

"GUESS WHAT GUYS?!?!?!" Choco hollered excitement sparking his eyes, filling it to the brim with joy and anxiousness to blurt out the news.

"What is it Choco?" I wondered glancing back at Mitch and Jerome nervously, afraid of what Choco was going to say with his evil little mind.

"PRESTON HAS A CHANCE AT NOT DYING!!!!!" Choco squealed and I tensed, my heart entering my mouth I glared at Preston who was avoiding eye contact with anybody, staring at the floor.

A silence sweeping over the area everyone's eyes landed on Preston, a faint whimper was heard from him as he continued to stare at the floor, Choco's grin fading as soon as he saw our expressions.

"Preston?....Is it true?" I asked my voice quiet so I wouldn't startle him but failed. Tears pricking his eyes a whimper escaped from his lips as he nodded quickly, not wanting to talk.

"Can you tell us how?" Mitch whispered walking towards him, holding Jerome's hand so he followed. Choco pacing up and down the path not being able to stay still kept glancing at Kenny whose

Face was filled with concern. Preston's eyes darted across the area, making sure to avoid eye contact with anyone trying to find an escape route only to find none what-so-ever...

"I....Umm...." Preston tried tears flowing down his face he quickly wiped them away, afraid of how to tell everyone the news.

Taking a deep breath he continued pausing for a few moments to regather his thoughts before continuing to explain how he had a chance....

"Eermm....I....I need to swim in water.....Not many demons survive but...It's my only choice...The obsidian will melt back into blood but it will be blue...The water will overpower my blood..

Not obsidianizing for it will cool down to the amount where it will freeze.....If I don't die from the temperature drop...Then my body will adapt to the water...." Preston explained his voice low.

"Will it hurt?" Mat asked idiotically earning a glare from all of us except for Preston, a smirk forming on his lips from the stupidness Mat had.

"No Mat, it will be like extremely nice and ticklish!" Jerome joked sarcastically earning an awkward silence to cast across the hill...

"What is the chance out of a hundred you'll survive?" Kenny asked, worry the only thing showing on his face.

"Eleven....Really low.....Almost pointless..." Preston whispered finally looking up, locking eye contact with me as he spoke, his eyes pure blue

Looking like a blue flame as he gazed at me, sadness etched onto his face.....Did he really have a choice though?

"There's still a chance though..Right?!?" Mat pointed out lightening the mood.

"Yeah....But not by much...Guess it's a risk we have to take though...." Preston mumbled a weak smile drawn across his lips
