Ways Of Transportation (Preston)

Resting my head on his shoulder as he paced towards camp, swaying me gently in his arms I slowly closed my eyes, letting my eyelids rest for a few moments before reopening them.

Camp slowly coming closer I scanned the area, the sun shining down on us as if nothing happened or that I paralyzed my legs...

Tears blurring my vision as I stared at the lake across from camp, the sun's reflection shimmering on the surface of the water...That's probably where we'll test it...

The sun warming my upper part of my body I sighed, curling into Rob even more so I was practically stuck to him, his steady heartbeat the only thing calming me down.

A dreaded feeling lurking in the pit of my stomach, I do NOT in any situation whatsoever, to go back to camp at this very moment..I will drag myself away from camp with my arms if I have to...

My whole body tensed as Rob scaled the hill swiftly letting camp into view as we stepped inside our territory, immediately drawing attention from Mitch, Jerome and Mat who were

Chatting amongst themselves.  My whole body shaking in fear not noticeable to anyone except for Rob who was staring at me concern clearly on his face.

"Rob?!?! Preston?!?! What's wrong with Preston?!?!" Mat panicked rushing up to us, worry clear on everyone's faces. Mat's panicking drawing Choco, Kenny's, Vikk and Lachlan's attention...

"Preston.....Preston's legs are....Are...Umm...." Rob tried not being able to spit it out as he stared into the forest, tears slipping out of his eyes.

"I can't move my legs, I'm paralyzed...I can still move everything else...Just not my legs, I need to reschedule the experiment to tommorow morning before the sun rises..." I announced

suprising calmness in my voice as I spoke, my words completely true I sighed, locking eye contact with a teary eyed Choco.

"But you can still fly right?" Mitch asked and I smiled, nodding my head causing the mood to lighten only slightly, Rob still staring onwards into the forest.

"Choco, you think you can pick him up into the air for a few seconds?" Jerome wondered getting the idea of what Mitch was planning.

"Yesh, why what are you guys thinking?" Choco wondered and I giggled, reaching my arms out towards Choco as he out stretched his arms, taking me out of Rob's grasp.

Eyes widening that I was no longer in his arms he whipped his head around, no longer staring at the forest and locking eye contact with me as Choco held me bridal style.

"It's ok Rob, we're just testing something..To see if Preston can fly on his own, he just needs a little boost.." Mat explained and Rob nodded not taking his eyes off of me

as Choco whipped his wings out, springing into the air gracefully. The wind tickling my face already as my bangs bounced around excitedly.

"Tell me when you want me to drop you..." Choco piped up and I nodded, staring down at Rob as we flew higher and higher, everyone starting to look like little ants...

"You know Choco, you're a really cool guy.." I commented earning a smile from him. A warm feeling tickling my stomach as he laughed, not the same as when Rob laughed though...

"You think so? Well thanks Preston, I think you're a pretty swaggy dood yourself." Choco responded laughing and I giggled again.

"Ok, I think here is good...Promise to catch me if I don't spread my wings in time?" I asked and he snuffed out air like a bull,

"I promise, you don't even have to ask I'll be right there just in case!" Choco cheered and I nodded, a grin on my face as my stomach dropped.

Choco outstretching his arms I rolled off, the wind immediately spiraling around me as I fell downwards. Adrenaling pumping through my veins I cheered, out stretching my wings I continued

to dive. Determination set in my mind I curved my wings so I slowed down for a bit, my tail whipping around behind me I frontflipped catching a glimpse of a laughing Choco.

The world spinning around me as I flipped around, my wings supporting me the ground came into view as I tumbled around in the air, shock and fear boosting my adrenaline even further.

My tail shooting straight I balanced myself, diving down until I could see everyone's expressions... Pulling upwards at the last moment, Choco following my lead behind me I zoomed past everyone else.

Gaining a little bit of altitude, the sun beaming on my wings as warmth spread through me. Jerome, Mat , Mitch and Kenny cheering as I glided downwards right in front of Rob.

"You scared me, when I saw you tumble Rob screamed like a little girl!" Kenny chuckled, his laugh seemed a bit nervous as everyone nodded, embarassing Robby.

"Mah Gawd Biggums! That was so epic! You were all like swoosh! And I was all like, like...DAAAAHHMM!!!" Jerome breathed out waving his hands in the air ecstatic and Mat

laughed like a hyena, trying to balance himself as he stumbled about. Wrapping my tail around Mat I lifted him and pulled him to where Vikk and Lachlan were staring at me.

"That was for sure eight out of eight mate! Vikk did you see that?!?!" Lachlan squeaked nudging Vikk playfully as Vikk just stared at me, a grin on his face.

"That just made my whole entire day..." Vikk breathed out stunned and I laughed, my giggle making me sound like a little kid.
