You're split up into three groups. One is helping build the barricade, ones digging, and ones practicing fighting. The villagers have been rotating groups for a while. You're on digging duty. You've been waiting for a while but it's finally your chance. The woman who had showed you your tent was finally in your group.

"What's your name?" You ask her. "Omera. What about you?," she says. "I'm y/n," you say. "Well then it's nice to officially meet you y/n," she smiles at you before turning back to her work. "I see how you look at him," you say. She gets flustered "I don't know what you're talking about," she says. "Whatever you say. But I think you should go for it. Mandos looking for a place to lay low. You should ask him to stay with you," you say. "You really think so?" She asks. You nod. You know what you're doing is petty. You don't care. It's what you're willing to do for her. If mando is set up with someone else there's no way anything will happen to your relationship with Cara.

You've been working and training the villagers all day. It's nearly sunset. Mando speaks up. "The sun is about to set and we'll be leaving soon. When we return, we're coming in hot," he says. "Well be ready," Omera says.

You, Mando, And Cara run through the dark forest. You find the raiders camp. As you sneak up on it you see two raiders sitting by a small fire. They're drinking some sort of glowing blue liquid. Cara and Mando take them out silently as you sneak into a tent. Your weapon is raised but all you find are a few large vats of the blue liquid.

Mando and Cara meet you in the tent as you set a charge on the main tent post. Cara whistles to you two. She points to the door signing that there are raiders about to enter. Two come inside. Mando and Cara take care of them. More come flooding in. One hits Cara. She punches him in the face before passing him off to you. He collapses on the ground as you break his neck.

You nod at her smiling. Adrenaline is pumping through your veins. More raiders come inside. The three of you fight them off. You can hear the beeping from the charge speeding up. Cara is knocked to the ground. She trips the raiders causing him to come crashing down. She picks him up and throws him over as she turns and kicks another in the abdomen. "Y/N behind you!" She yells. You spin around, punching the raider in the jaw to put space between the two of you before shooting him through the chest with your blaster.

Cara grabs another raider and dunks his head into the blue liquid. It sizzles as he struggles to get out before going limp. The charge is speeding up rapidly. Two raiders with blasters start shooting at you three. Mando runs behind one of the vats of liquid. Cara grabs you and pulls you behind some cargo with her. You can feel her heart pumping and her heavy breathing against you.

Mando pulls out his blaster. You do the same. You're about to start shooting back. Cara stops you. You're curious why until you see a small fresh hole from a blaster shot in the wall. She nods at Mando. He shoots a few more times at the wall, making tons of small holes. "Go on. I'll cover you," he says to you and Cara. She signals you to follow her as she throws herself against the thin damaged wall. It breaks and she gets up quickly. You and Mando run through just as the charge goes off. The tent explodes. The remainder of it is in flames.

You're on the ground, out of breath. "I hope the plan worked," Cara said. You hear a noise. The three of you look up. Large red glowing eyes are being raised in the sky. You stand up carefully. "Go. Go!" Mando yells as the AT-ST starts taking its large steps towards you. The three of you zoom through the forest. It fires at you as you run. The three of you make it back to the village, sliding into cover. "This is it! Once that thing steps in the pond it's going down!" Cara says. "Weapons ready," she yells.

The AT-ST rips through the trees. It's almost at the pond. "Just a few more steps," mando says. The AT-ST freezes. "It stopped," you say. The AT-ST turns on a bright light. "get down! Get down!" Mando whispers forcefully. The AT-ST's light sweeps the defenses, then opens fire on the huts. "Caben! Stay there!" Omera shouts to the boy from earlier. You can guess that that's his name. "Hold your positions!" Cara says. The raiders yell as they run through the AT-STs legs. "OPEN FIRE!!!" Cara shouts.

The raiders and villagers exchange shots. "We gotta get that thing to step forward," You say. "I'm thinking... new plan," Cara says. "What do you have in mind?" Mando asks. "Gimme the pulse rifle," she says. He hands over his rifle. "Wait Cara what are you doing?" You say, worry in your voice. You can tell she's about to risk something. No matter what it is she's risking wether it be her own life or someone else's, you have a churning feeling in your upper stomach.

"Where is she going?" You think out loud. She storms out towards the AT-ST, jumping into the pond for cover. "Come on. you got this," Mando says. She aims the rifle at the machine. "Come to mama," she says. She shoots at it and it steps forward but stops short of the pond. She tries again, but needs to remain in cover. "I need to go get her out of there," you say to Mando. "Don't. You'll just end up getting both of you killed. Let her do her thing," he says. You bite your lip nervously

"This is it. It's now or never," Omera says. The villagers storm towards the raiders. They fight head on. "CABEN, STOKE, GET OUT THERE!!!" Omera yells. You eye cara nervously as the AT-ST shoots at where it thinks she's hiding, but still doesn't step forward. "Take the bait, you hunk of junk," Mando says, visibly frustrated. Cara shoots one of the cockpit windows, the AT-ST stumbles around. It finally accidentally steps into the water. She activates a charge and throws it into the cockpit window. The AT-ST blows up.

You look at the fiery remanence of the machine, searching for Cara in the water. You can't find her. "Cara?" You ask. She doesn't respond. Your heart drops "CARA?!" You yell, hoping she just didn't hear you the first time. Tears fill your eyes. You wipe them with your palms as you start running towards the wreck. Mando holds you back. You struggle, trying to fight him off as Cara pops out from underneath the water. She takes a big gasp of air, pushing herself out of the pond.

"Oh thank god," you whisper with relief in your voice. He lets you go as you run up to her. You hug her before taking her face in your hands as you kiss her deeply. You pull back and search her eyes for a second before you let her go. Your eyebrows furrow as you slap her in the face. "Ow! What was that for!?" She says confused. "I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD! THATS WHAT," you yell. "Well lucky for you I'm alive and well," she says smugly. You roll your eyes, pulling her into another hug. You feel calm as she draws warmth to her cold body from you.
