Death Troopers surround the shot up common house. The man who spoke to the four of you previously stands with them. "Is there another way out?" You ask. "No, that's it," Greef Karga says. "What about the sewers?" Mando says. "Sewers?" Greef asks. "The Mandalorians have a covert down in the sewers. If we can get down there, they can help us escape," mando says. "Yeah, sewers are good!" Cara says. "Checking for access points," he says.

"What the hell are they waiting for?" Cara says, quickly glancing out the window. "Hold up. They're setting up an E-Web," she says her voice shaking slightly. "It's over," Greef says. "I found the sewer vent," Mando says. "Let's get the hell outta here," you say. You all try to open the sewer gate. It won't budge. "It's assembled," mando says.

"How long until that thing's cleared?" Greef asks. "Blow it," Cara says, referring to the gate. "I'm out of charges," he says. "Get out of the way," Cara says to you. She pushes you aside, taking her blaster and attempting to shoot it off. It doesn't work. She then tried kicking it but to no avail.

"Your astute panic suggests that you understand your situation. I would prefer to avoid any further violence, and encourage a moment of consideration. Members of my escort have completed assembly of an E-Web heavy repeating blaster," the man starts. " If you are unfamiliar with this weapon, I am sure that Republican Shock Trooper Carasynthia Dune of Alderaan will advise you that she has witnessed many of her ranks vaporize mid-descent facing the predecessor of this particular model," you look at Cara.

Her face is pale. "I thought you said you didn't know him?" You ask her. "I don't," she says quietly. "Or perhaps the decommissioned Mandalorian hunter, Din Djarin, has heard the songs of the Siege of Mandalore, when gunships outfitted with similar ordnance laid waste to fields of Mandalorian recruits in The Night of a Thousand Tears," the man continues.

"Or maybe even Y/N L/N knows of it? Your father perished in battle from a very similar machine. Am I correct?" He asks. You freeze. "He and your mother had high hopes for you Y/N. What would they think if they saw you now? A freelance bounty hunter who ran off with her lover, abadoning her siblings the first chance she got. A female lover non the less," he says. Your eyes sting from holding in tears. It takes everything in you to not go out there and kill him right where he's standing. Tears run down your face quietly. Cara takes you in her arms. "Hey! Hey dont listen to him Y/N. He's just trying to mess with your head," she says as she holds you.

"I advise disgraced Magistrate Greef Karga to search the wisdom of his years and urge you to lay down your arms and come outside. The structure you are trapped in will be razed in short order and your storied lives will come to an unceremonious end," he finishes. "What do you propose?" Greef Karga says. "Reasonable negotiation," he says. "What assurance do you offer?" Greef asks.

" If you're asking if you can trust me...you cannot. Just as you betrayed our business arrangement, I would gladly break any promise and watch you die at my hand. The assurance I give is this: I will act in my own self-interest, which at this time involves your cooperation and benefit. I will give you until nightfall, and then I will have the E-Web cannon open fire," he tells all of you before walking away.

"I say we hear him out," Greef suggests. "The minute we open that door, we're dead," Cara says, releasing you from her embrace. "We're dead if we don't. At least out there we've got a shot," he argues with her. She collects blasters and ammo from the dead men in the building as she speaks. "That's easy for you to say. I'm a Rebel Shock Trooper. They'll upload me to a Mind Flayer," she says.

"Those aren't real. That was just wartime propaganda," Greef tells her. "Well, I don't care to find out. I'm shooting my way outta here. Come on Y/N," she says. "What about you, Mando?" Greef Karga asks. "I know who he is," Din Says. The three of you look at him shocked. "It's Moff Gideon," he says. "No. Moff Gideon was executed for war crimes," you say. "It's him. He knew my name," Din says. "So? What does that prove?" Greef Karga asks.

"I haven't heard that name spoken since I was a child," he says. "On Mandalore?" Greef asks. "I was not born on Mandalore," Din says. "But you're a Mandalorian," Greef says sounding confused. "Mandalorian isn't a race," Cara says. "It's a creed," Din says quietly.

"I was a foundling. They raised me in the Fighting Corps. I was treated as one of their own. When I came of age, I was sworn to the Creed. The only record of my family name was in the registers of Mandalore. Moff Gideon was an ISB Officer during the purge. That's how I know it's him," he says. "That's how he knows who we all are," Cara says. "

"He says he needs us, which means the Child got away safely. I was worried when the Ugnaught didn't respond, but if they'd captured the kid, we'd already be dead," Says Din. "Hail them again," you say. "Come in, Kuiil. Kuiil!" he says into the comlink "nothing," "they might have jammed the link," Cara says. You think it's a failure until you hear a small noise. "Wait shhh listen," you say. Everyone becomes quiet. From the comlink you can hear a quiet cooing sound. "The kids alive," you say.

A robotic voice comes through the communicator. "Kuiil has been terminated," IG-11 says."What did you do?" din says angrily. "I am fulfilling my base function," it says. "Which is?" Din asks. "To nurse and protect," it responds. "Look!" You say. Through the window you can see IG-11 speeding down the road. It jumps off the bike and lets the bike crash into the Troopers, then proceeds to shoot the Troopers around it.

"Cover me!" Din yells. You and Cara shoot at the troopers from inside the common house. Din and Greef Karga leave the common house, taking out Troopers around them. Din grabs the E-Web cannon off its base and decimates the Trooper ranks. A Death Trooper blasts the main entry, knocking Cara down.

You cover her, taking out the intruders until she can get up and help you. "You okay Cara?" You ask, helping her stand up. "Dont worry about me I'm fine," she says. Moff Gideon appears, hitting Dins helmet with a blaster shot before taking out the E-web power unit, causing an explosion. Cara grabs Din, dragging him to cover.

"Stay with me, buddy. We're gonna get you outta here," Cara says as she pulls Din, making him sit fairly upright. "This is our only way out. Can you clear it?" Greef Karga says, pointing to the sewer grate. "Stay with me," Cara says again. "If you go near this Child, I will have no choice but to kill you," IG-11 says. "I understand. Can you do anything to move the grate?" Greef asks. "Yes, of course," it says.

"I'm not gonna make it. Go," he says. "Shut up. You just got your bell rung. You'll be fine," Cara says. Although her words are playful you can tell she's worried. "Leave me," Din says weakly. Cara takes her hand away from his head. It's soaked in blood. She reaches for his helmet. "I'm gonna need to take this thing off," she says. He grabs her hands, lowering them off of his helmet.

"No. You leave me. You make sure the Child is safe. You make sure your girlfriend is safe. Here," he says pulling off a necklace and giving it to Cara. "When you get to the Mandalorian covert, you show them that. You tell them it's from Din Djarin. You tell them the foundling was in my protection, and they'll help you,"

"We can make it," she says, tearing up. It wrecks you to see her so upset. "Come on! Let's go!" She says pulling at him, her voice breaking. "Cara you're gonna have to leave him," you say to her. She turns to you. Her hands are bloodied. "No- You don't understand Y/N. You and him are all I have," she says sniffling. "I'm not gonna make it, and you know it," he says.

A blast of fire bursts through the window. Cara grabs you protecting you with her body. "You protect the Child. I can hold them back long enough for you to escape. Let me have a warrior's death," he pleads. "I won't leave you," she says firmly. "This is the way," he says. Your heart stops as you see the child directly in the path of the flamethrower but to your relief he holds off the flames with his powers. He pushes them outwards, throwing the Trooper out in an explosion. The child falls over from exhaustion.

IG-11 has finished opening the sewer grate. "Come on! It's open, let's go!" Greef Karga says. "Go. Go," Din says gasping. "We have to move now," you say to Cara. "Go," he says. His voice is raspy from the smoke and the injury. She finally complies. "Promise me you'll bring him," she says to the IG-11 "you have my word," it says. You take her by the hand, in your other arm you hold the child. You walk into the vent, making your way underground to safety.
