Cara and Greef Karga lead mando into a building. It looks quite similar to the school building just smaller and rounder. A blue creature like man sits at a desk. He's wearing a brown leather jacket, detailed with fur on the collar and cuffs. "There's no registration on the ship, but I'm pretty sure it belongs to-," he starts telling Greef Karga. He stops as he looks up, seeing the very man he was about to speak of in front of him.
"I believe you two have met," Greef Karga says to him. A mist ejects from the mans neck. "I'm surprised to see you here," Mando says. "Right back at ya," he says "Mythrol here's taken care of my books since he was a pollywog. But then he disappeared one day after a bit of "creative accounting"," Greef Karga says. "Magistrate Karga was generous enough to let me work of my debt. Thank you, by the way," Mythrol says, putting on a fake happy expression.
"Three hundred and fifty years, but who's counting," Karga says strictly. "Well if he runs off on you again let me know," mando says. "Let me assure you, I do not wanna spend any more time in carbonite," Mythrol says with a chuckle. No one else laughs. "Still can't see out of my left eye,"
"Can we talk business?" Cara asks. "I'm only here for repairs," mando says. "Which will take a while. Which means you'll have free time on your hands, right?" Karga starts. "And we could really use your help," he says, a genuine tone in his voice. Mando contemplates his request. "Help how," he says. Cara presses a button on a half sphere attached to a desk. "This is nevarro. The semi sphere reveals a floating map.
"We're here," she says pointing to a spot. "This entire areas a green zone, completely safe. But over on this side is the problem," she says, zooming into a small red image. "It's an old imperial base," Karga says, looking at mando. "It's where all those troops came from when we defeated Moff Gideon," Cara chimes in."this base has been here since the imperial expansion. It's got a skeleton crew, but for some reason, it hasn't been abandoned,"
"There's a lot of heavy weaponry in that place the black market would love to dismantle and get their hands on," says Karga. "And you wanna mop up the last of the imperial force before they do," mando says. Karga looks a little offended by Mandos words. "Mando I just want them off my planet. If we could take out that one last base, Nevarro would be completely safe," Greef Karga says.
"We could be a trade anchor for the entire sector," Karga tells him, motioning to Cara and himself. "And the planet would finally be free," Cara adds. Mando looks at Karga as he thinks before turning his head back to his old friend. "What are we looking at," he says to Cara.

Cara walks in to your home. You had only gotten there an hour or so before her. "Hello lovely," you say to her with a smile. You're seated on a chair, going over the children's work. "Hi," she says breathily. "I'm so glad you're home I wanted to tell you about my-," you start. An off putting look on her face makes you pause. "Are you feeling alright Cara? You look off," you ask. She smiles, sighing a little.
"I'm fine babydoll don't worry," she tells you. You persist. "Are you sure? Because I can lay down with you if your tired. Or I could-," she cuts you off with a kiss. You shut up, melting into her touch. She pulls back after a second. "Now do you believe me?" She asks, stroking your cheek with the back of her fingers. You nod breathlessly, leaning in to kiss her again. She pulls away, placing her pointer finger over your lips. You pout at her actions
"Wait. I need to talk to you about something first," she says. Your sudden burst of arousal dissipates as you feel a pit in your stomach form. I need to talk to you about something never means anything good. She removes her finger from its position covering your mouth, allowing you to speak. "Of course. What is it?" You ask. She hesitates. "I'm going with mando to take down that old imperial base I told you about before," she tells you. You look at her wide eyed. You can't think of what to say in response to that surprising news.
"Are you alright y/n?" She asks. "AM I ALRIGHT!?" You shout. "Do you not remember what happened last time you went on a mission with mando? Oh yeah WE ALMOST FUCKING DIED!!! You're not infiltrating that base," you say. She looks taken back by your words. "It wasn't a question y/n. I have to go," she says. "You don't have to do anything," you argue. "Y/N it's to keep you and the town safe," she says. "Yeah? Bullshit. Stop playing hero Cara. The base is practically empty. We don't need to fix what isn't broken," you say angrily.
"I'm not playing hero- I need to do this. If not just for you than for everyone else who lives here," she tells you. "I'm not letting you go," you say as you look at the floor. "You're not my mom Y/N. I'm an adult, I can make my own decisions," she says. "You could get yourself killed Cara," you argue. "Yeah well maybe that's a risk I need to take," she says. You're shocked at her words. You've never seen a person so reckless with their own well being for the sake of someone else before.
"You're really willing to throw all of this away?" You say looking back up at her. She doesn't respond. "What are we Cara? Am I just another hookup to you? Did all these months together mean nothing?" You ask, tears forming in your eyes. "No- Y/N you know I don't think that. It's just-," she pauses. You wait in anticipation for her next words but they don't come. "I can't do this right now. I'm going to bed," you say.
You turn around and begin to walk away. She grabs your arm to stop you from leaving. "Wait- Y/N, I think..." she starts. "What?" You ask as you turn to face her. She takes a minute to gather enough courage. "I think I love you," she confesses. Your eyes widen. There's no doubt you feel the same, you just weren't expecting it to be said so suddenly. Cara notices your expression and releases your arm, stepping away from you. "Shit- god I'm- im so sorry I shouldn't have said anything," she says.
"No it's okay," you say quietly. "I love you too,". Your words are barely as loud as a whisper. You lean in and kiss her gently. The kiss isn't lustful or heated like all the ones you've shared before. It's gentle, Serene even. She pulls back after your moment of shared emotion. "Have I changed your mind?" She asks sweetly. You sigh in defeat. "Fine," you say. Cara smiles. "But I'm coming with you," you say sternly. She doesn't argue.

Ugh I'm sorry I know this is the second time I've had y/n and Cara fight idk what it is but the "kiss and make up" trope is one of my all time favs. I don't wanna make them fight again but also like angry sex so maybe I do. As usual, have a good week/weekend :)
