The Darkness

Chapter 21

The conversation stops just as quickly as it had ended. The girl in the green dress had come back. There was a bit of what you would call uneasiness to her approach. She asked us for our attention, and she then told us what was going to happen. We were being asked to stay here in the inn, so they could ask us some questions. It was apparently very rare for anyone to wander into the town. But for 5 children with pets to all make it to the town within such little time. It baffled the people of the town. She made it seem like you had a choice but really, you didn't. It was a small inn so between the 5 of you you would have 2 rooms with 2 beds each. A guy around the same age as the girl in the green dress showed us to our rooms. You, Yuki, and Shiro walk into the room and got comfortable. You look around at the room. There's a window, the beds, and a bathroom with a shower. You hear a knock on the door, but Yuki got up and opens it first. It's the lady with the green dress, she has a handful of clothes. She hands them to Yuki, telling her that they were for us. Yuki thanks her and the lady walks away. Yuki closes the door and walks over to you and Shiro. You all talk about how nice everyone is here, and how it's so beautiful in this town while going through the clothes. There are 2 dresses, 4 pairs of pants, and 4 shirts. Yuki gladly takes the dresses. One which was a deep blood red, and the other a light grey. The pants are all black so you and Shiro just take 2 each. You let Shiro pick from the shirts first since you don't really care what you get. Shiro takes the white and light blue shirt. That leaves you with the black and dark green shirt. Yuki calls the shower first; she goes and closes the door behind her. You hear the water start running and you hear her start singing horribly out of tune. You and Shiro laugh a bit. Yuki's feret comes over climbs up your arm and lays down around your neck. You and Shiro are sitting on the bed closest to the window. It's dark out, you and Shiro point out to different constellations. You're pointing out to the constellation for Libra when Yuki comes out of the shower. She's wearing the dark red dress. Her ferret jumps down from around your neck and just sits on the edge of the bed waiting for her to sit. You ask Shiro if it's ok if you go to take a shower next, he says that's fine. You take the black shirt and the pants with you. You go in and close the door behind you. You look at yourself in the mirror, you're a mess. You turn the water on and undress. The water feels amazing. You dry off and change into your clothes. Then head out. Yuki is already passed out on the bed closest to the door. Shiro without you realizing has already gotten into the bathroom to shower.
