Twenty - Eight

Felicia's Pov

"You're welcome Boss" I watched with disgust as Nick's secretary welcomed him back home. I wondered what she was doing in the house at that time.

He simply nodded and turned to me

" I've missed lots of business meetings and deliveries,I'm going to be going through the latest news with Twila here. I'll see you later"

He didn't wait for me to speak and he was gone.

Jason had left to his room as soon as we got here . Andy,Horatio and Darwin had vanished to somewhere else so I was alone.

I watched the retreating back of Nicholas and wondered.

How is he an assassin.?. He is crazy though but his poised and principled nature will never let you suspect him.

Not knowing what to do ...I called Felix.

" Why haven't I heard from you in a long time" I accused.

" Work,work and Mum's sick and Dad's been getting nervy." He replied.

I wanted to go and see them.

But how? Nicholas had guards all around the house and me sneaking out was out of the question. I needed to see my mom.

" I'll see what I can do , Felix"

Thankfully the family had moved to LA because of Felix and Felicity's job so I could go.

A plan came to my head and ran upstairs.

Sneaking into the men's closet, I picked up a black outfit and dressed myself as a guard. My stomach was a little bit visible in it but I shrugged it off.

Walking listlessly down the stairs,I took the secret passageway ,Jason had shown me as soon as we came back .

The passageway had rooms in which I dared not open. I just kept walking straight. Getting to the end of my Walk,I smiled and touched the door handle but another hand fell upon mine. My smile froze.

" Going somewhere?"

Andy towered over me and I shuddered.

He smiled down at me and it dawned on me that I knew him somewhere. A distant memory.

I knew this passageway was used only when someone was going out without being seen so I guessed he was also leaving.

" Going somewhere too?" I repeated his question and a sinister smile formed on his lips.

" Yes princess"

" Then we make a deal....you snitch ,I snitch"

Then he laughed.

" The only reason why you don't go out is because you are wanted. I'm not. Nick's just trying to protect you"

" But......."

" Shhhhhhhhhhhhh"

"I........." I gave up in frustration.

" Don't worry I won't snitch, you may go"

I nodded sadly and he opened the door for me.

He followed me to the crossroads and stopped.

Surprisingly he didn't ask me where I was going.

" I'm taking the left the road,you going right?"

" Yeah"

" Okay take care"

And he was gone.

This was the first time Andy had acted so suspicious.

Maybe he was out to work for Nicholas. But why didn't he pass the front gate.

I shrugged and picked a cab to the house Felix had directed me too.

" Felicia?" Felicity shrieked as she ran over to hug me almost tripping me.

" Careful"

" I miss you so much...it's been months or?" asking no one in particular she nodded.

Gesturing me into the run she shouted.

" Mum,Dad,Felix, Felicia is here" yes..that was Felicity..she hadn't changed at all.

The look on my mom and Dad's face made me sob silently. I hadn't seen them in years....since I moved to LA and the unexpected happened. I run to hug them and my mom stared at my protruding stomach.

" You're carrying his child?"
I nodded.

Felix gave me a fist bump and smiled.

" Felix told me you travelled to Spain,Italy and other countries with him,to do what?" Dad asked.

I couldn't tell him about the mafia world I had been endangered to,so I just replied" business meetings"

The talk drifted to other issues.

The junction was dark,very dark.....I told Felix not to escort me. A foolish decision though.

I finally flagged down a cab and told  him where I was going.

He simply nodded.i wanted to show him where to pass but it seemed he knew the way so I just shut up.

" Why you out so late miss?"
His voice sounded husky

" Nothing,just went to pick up some things" a lie.

" Won't your husband or guardian be worried or you told them you'll be out this late."

I was getting annoyed.

" I don't think it's your business sir"

" Oh I think it is,for all you know I could be a very deadly person and you didn't check my face before sitting in the car"

I frowned. He was right but why was he telling me this.

" I think I'll be okay"

"You sure because from the looks of where I'm taking you,it seems you sneaked out"

" What!"

" This please is used for only Mafias when out on a Mission"

I was beginning to get scared .have I sold the gang out?

" I'd like to get down here" I foolishly spoke.

He laughed......and laughed and laughed till tears came from his eyes.. because he was a napkin to wipe it off.

" Did you think you can outrun me miss' Griselda'

He turned to face me and I screamed.

Nicholas was my driver.
