Accidental Roommate

Part 20

-mistakes everywhere, not edited-

Tee can't move freely, he needs to take a lot of rest to heal, he also had to change face to face class to online. He can't work too but Tae willing to pay everything for him. Tae makes Tee owe it from him and Tee accept it.

Two days in the hospital, Dann and Tae takes turn to take care of him. Never crossed Tee's mind that Tae will do this for him. They are not that close either.

"you don't have to be here phi, I'm okay" said Tee when he sees how Tae uncomfortable doing his work in the hospital.

In here don't have a working table and good chair, if Tae keep doing the work in uncomfortable state he will be the one ended on hospital bed.

Tae glances at Tee a few seconds but return his sight back to his laptop. He is in the process of creating new recipe. He needs to study the ingredients first before try to cook it himself.

Tee frowns when he gets ignored by the older man. He huffs loudly to make sure he is angry with the lack of response. Tee opens his book loudly but carefully because of his body's condition, doesn't want to get more hurt than this. He needs to graduate remember?

A long sighs from Tae makes Tee turns to look at Tae. Tae stretches his limbs and gets up to do small exercise for his tired body. For a tall person to stay like that is tiring.

"do you really can't see the attackers face?" ask Tae to Tee, Tae is angry actually because the man he hires to find out about the attackers still clueless about it.

The place Tee was attacked are a blind spot where the CCTV didn't cover the area, it is a bad news to him and the police. The police is still looking out for the suspects.

Tee scratches his chin before he nods his head, what happened that night is still blur for him. All he remembers is the beating, the pain and the sounds of the kick and his harsh breathing.

"no clue at all?" ask Tae starts getting angry because he is met with the dead end of the investigation.

"I can't remember! Why are you getting angry?! Are you a police or what?" ask Tee angry too, it's like Tae is blaming him for whatever happened.

Tae glares at Tee for raising his voice and grunts in pain for the sudden outburst. Tee holds his rib and try to breath properly, Tae go to Tee's side and holds Tee's hand where he is holding his abdomen. Tee frowns harder.

Tee looks at what Tae is looking at because it is not his face at the moment. Tae eyes is watching his wrist.

"ah! I remember!" yells Tee excited makes him groans in pain again.

Tae rubs it softly to ease the pain which is pointless action.

"this bracelet! They talked about it, saying this bracelet can't save me outside the bar" explains Tee excited when he remembers part of the accident, he is proud of himself.

"are you sure?" ask Tae needed for a confirmation.

Tee nods his head eager, Tae takes his phone and leave the room, Tee was left alone confused with Tae.

Tae called his investigator and explain everything he heard from Tee side, he also told that man about what happened that makes he bought the bracelet to both of them. After talking for 15 minutes Tae hung up and enter the room back.

Tee is having his lunch that prepared from the nurse. The nurse smiles shyly to the both of them before leaves the room. Tee scoffs irritated that the nurse blushes when she saw Tae. Tae is not that handsome for Tee's opinion.

"jealous?" ask Tae with a smirk, he can clearly hear the scoff.

"nah, just can't understand what she saw in you" replies Tee back harshly. Tae chuckles unmoved with the insult.

"don't worry, she is not eyeing me or you" response Tae, he already aware that the rumours about they are husbands spread in the hospital, only Tee is still clueless about this matter. Tae doesn't bother to explain the right things too.

"what do you mean by that?" ask Tee can't grasp the meaning of it.

"hm, how can I explain it? You will know about it soon" answers Tae still playing with Tee.

Tae packs his stuff, he needs to go home, showers and get ready for his meeting this evening. He needs to hear from Sim about Vietnam too.

"Dann will not come today because he has classes. I will come back later this evening. Need anything?" ask Tae without looking at Tee. He is busy packing his stuff into his bag.

"I don't need anything, including you. I'm fine alone in the hospital, the nurses can take care of me" replies Tee fast, he is big enough to take care of himself.

Tae shrugs his shoulder hearing arrogant answer from Tee.

"okay. Just to let you know, no nurse will accompany you in this scary room. I heard some scary stories about this room from the nurses. Good luck sleeping alone" Tae pats Tee's head, Tee brushes it off.

"I'm not scared!" replies Tee angry, he will not let what Tae said disturb him. Tae is just teasing him just now.

Just teasing.

Really?

Really!

Tee lays down carefully and pulls the cover over his chest, his eyes wanders around the room, on the ceiling, walls and every crook of the room. He is scared of ghost, he will faint if he sees one.

Tee can't sleep!

His mind is full with what Tae told him and his brain start playing tricks with him, he can hear chairs moving, footsteps and other things he can't recognise. He is scared to shut his eyes, to open it is worse. He wants to go home now!

The sounds of the handle on the door being push makes his heart beating super fast, he  closes his eyes tightly, he doesn't want to know who or what is playing with the handle.

He can hear a deep chuckle and he knows the owner of the annoying laugh. Tee huffs angrily and pull up the blanket, covering his whole body till his head. Tae is here like he said this afternoon.

"I brought some food, want to eat" Tae turn on one of the lamp to give some light for them in the room.

Tee remains quiet in his blanket, he doesn't want Tae to tease him about him scared of the ghost.

"most people scared of it, even me too. Now stop sulking and eat this with me" Tae brought light late night snacks to share with Tee, and it is one of Tee's favourite food. Topokki.

He catches the smell, it is salivating. He ignores his pride and uncover himself, Tae already serves it on the plate together with chopsticks.

"How's today check up?" ask Tae because he is not here when the doctor make their round.

Tee start eating first without waiting for Tae, he is tired of eating healthy food served in the hospital.

"everything is fine. Doctor said I can go home soon, just need to get enough rest and be careful with my ribs. Other than that I'm healthy" answers Tee politely, Tae is the one paying his bill so he needs to give a good answer about his condition.

Tae nods his head, he prepares his place to sleep on the couch like usual. Tee keeps eating till the last bite, Tae brought half of the portion because he knows Tee can't eat something like that much. He is happy to see Tee is eating well.
