Accidental Roommate

Part 33

-mistakes everywhere, not edited-

Tee stares at Tae who is eating like nothing happen just now, Tee is confuse with Tae's treatment toward him and what does Tae mean by he is belong to Tae?

"Eat your lunch Tee, time will not wait for you" Tae realise that Tee is staring at him and want answers to everything. Maybe Tee needs the direct answer not the one he is giving.

"Phi, I don't know what you think of me but I..."

"Tee" Tae stops Tee from keep talking, Tae is serious too.

Tee shuts his mouth and looks at his food in the plate. He takes his spoon and start eating, the glares from Tae is scary for him. When a spoonful of food enter his mouth he realised how hungry he is. He forgot about his thought and continue eating till he is full.

Tae smiles a bit when he see Tee is eating, he stops Tee from talking because to be honest with himself, he is scared Tee will reject him. Tee never shows any sign of liking him at all.

"have you think about the assignment?" ask Tae to Tee when they almost done eating, lunch hour will end soon and Tae needs to let Tee go even though he don't want to.

Tee bites his lower lip, he is busy this morning that he forgot about their conversation. Tee is dense but but not stupid, he can guess the answer but he can't believe it. Its hard for him to just believe the answer.

"Tee, I'm not forcing you to accept me. I just want you to know my feelings and I will make you feel the same way too. I'm not going to give up just because you reject me"

Tae is confident but at the same time he is not because he knows he can't force his feelings to someone else and he can't force someone to love him too. Its hard when he thinks about this matter too.

Tee is surprised when Tae clearly confess his feeling by using different words. What he thought is true, he doesn't know how to face this right now.

"you like me Phi?" ask Tee softly, he still can't believe his ears, it's so out of nowhere.

"No" replies Tae firm, Tee glance at Tae looking confuse.

"huh?"

"I love you. This feeling I have for you is more than like, it's love" Tae confess clearly this time.

Tee stops moving because of the sudden and serious confession, he never face this situation before because no one confess to him, a man especially. Tee blinks hard while staring at calm Tae.

"love? Are you sure phi? I thought you hate me"

"you think I will lie about this? You think I will joke around about love?" ask Tae serious, he doesn't know how to tell Tee he is serious, he loves Tee.

Tee release a restless sigh and stares at his plate, he can't look at Tae right now because he doesn't know how to respond about this matter. Its happen too fast, they were strangers, suddenly become roommate and now Tae confess to him.

"I can't give you any answer phi, I don't know what to say" replies Tee after thinking the best way to replie to Tae's confession.

Tae smiles, it's hurt inside but he knows Tee will say something like this.

"at least you are not rejecting me directly" Tae smiles but it doesn't reach his eyes. He looks sad and Tee feels guilty for making Tae become like this.

"Phi, I have a lot to do in my life, I have tons of unfinished business. I don't have time to think about my feelings, I don't think this is the right time for me to involve myself with love. I'm sorry" Tee apologise his whole heart.

He can't answer Tae's feeling and he doesn't want Tae to wait for him, suffering one sided feelings. This is the best answer he can give to Tae. Its hurt but it is the best choice Tee has.

"I understand" Tae talks after a long silence, he is thinking real hard. He doesn't want to force Tee in this, he has no right to torture Tee with his feelings.

He said he will never give up on Tee and he will make Tee fall for him too, but the truth is, he loves Tee, so much that he doesn't want Tee to feel the burden of his feelings toward Tee.

The pain of rejection, he should bear it alone and don't trouble Tee more than what Tee already faced.

"Phi, I'm sorry, I..."

"eat your food Tee. 10 minutes left" Tae smiles thinly.

Tee wants to say more but at the same time he doesn't know what to say. He shuts his mouth and start eating the bland food. He taste nothing but the pain of silence.

Tae eats his food, finishing his own plate. Tee follows but he can't finish it, he feels suffocating and want to throw up everything he has in his stomach.

"done?" ask Tae, Tee nods his head slowly.

"let's go" Tae pays for their food and leave, Tee follows Tae from behind.

The drive to Tee's office is silent and painful for both Tae and Tee. Tee tries to make a few conversation but failed, he can't even make a good sentence.

They arrive at the front of the building, Tae waits for Tee to get off from the car. Tee glances at Tae, hoping Tae will say something to him. They should become like usual not this awkward.

"Phi..."

"I will not fetch you today, I have meeting. Please be careful when you go home" Tae cut Tee's sentence.

"Phi, I'm sorry. I..."

"Tee,you shouldn't feel sorry. I shouldn't too, this feelings are not wrong. You have no feeling for me is not your fault. Its hurt but I have to accept it, don't worry about me. It will take time but I'm accepting it. You should focus on your life more, you are still young and your future is right in front of you. As long as you are happy, I'm feel glad" Tae pats Tee's shoulder, this time his smile since a little sincere than before.

Tee smiles back, he knows Tae is still sad but he can't do anything to do about it.

"go, you're late already. Your boss will scold you" Tae lights up the situation with a tease. Tee smiles and get off from the car.

Tae waves to Tee and drive away from the building. He takes a deep breath and preparing his mental for his meeting after this. He will be home late tonight, so many things to do and think about.

Heartbreak is not an easy challenge to face, it's hurt without any medicine to heal the pain. Time will heal it but, how long it will take?

Tae sighs again.
