"I can't believe it, when were you and your aunt thinking about telling me this little piece of information?"

To say I was shocked, was probably the understatement of the century.
It was like reality just hit me in the face.

Turns out after being so sure about knowing every single bit about the events in this..time, I in fact did not know everything.

I used to believe Danny was the only direct contact Tommy had in London.

"Oh well, I guess that would be on the boat to London."

Madeline didn't seem to be bothered by any of this.
Or at least she talked about it, like I'd talk about last night's dinner.

"Wow.. I need another drink."

Was all I said before standing up and making my way to the bar.
The new piece of information was still very fresh in my brain and I haven't quite yet figured out how to react to it.

Technically I had nothing to worry about. It's still one and a half years until the Jews and Sabini would start a war and almost two years until the Shelby's would get involved with any of them.

And yet my brain went straight to Sabinis first interaction with Tommy and Ada...yea, no thanks I am good.

"Hey Grace, one more bourbon please."

I placed my glass on the counter and waited for the blond barmaid to fill it up.

As lost in thought as I was I didn't even notice the eldest Shelby standing next to me.

"I'm afraid I still haven't thanked you for fixing my face a week ago."
He grunted and took a sip of his whiskey.

"No problem, Mr. Shelby, I might not be a nurse anymore, but I still like to help if needed."

I gave the man a reassuring smile and then placed a some money on the counter, for my now filled up glass.

"Cheers."
Was all I said, before making my way back to the table where Maddie was waiting for me.

"You aren't worried, are you?"

She confronted me.
The young woman probably noticed my uneasiness.

"The London market is dangerous, of course I am worried."
While my tone was rather calm, my thoughts were racing through my mind.

"Say, how much is it, that you know about our lot?"
