Maybe for you the day is already over or hasn't even started yet, but I think this should be addressed
Being a women isn't easy, is everything but it.
And not because our periods, no, that's the least of our problems
I am a woman, and the older I grow, the more fear I felt.
All around the world, being a woman has many, many disadvantage, a few more than others. Still, you can recognize them when, how girls doesn't have the right to go to school or how a woman's payment is lower than a men's
Yes, things have change in some parts but not enough, at least not yet
I am Mexican and I live with fear since the moment a turn six years old, when a horrible and useless kid kept his hand in my thigh for the rest of the day, and as much as I tried, I couldn't make him take his hand off.
That happened to me, and thank Goodness that's the only that's happened to me but there are tons of women and girls that are nowhere near as lucky as I've been

International Women's Day is not a day to celebrate, at least not where I'm from. It's a Day to commemorate and fight for what men had taken from us
I exist because I resist
Women, we need to stay together and celebrate when one us makes an incredible achievement
Men, take care of the important women in your life. Believe me, you don't want that something like that happen to a woman you care about
It never really occurred to me that what happened back them was assault until last year when we started to make our voices heard in my highschool
Don't stay silence. You're not crazy. I believe you
And, must importantly, don't let any men, or women, take you down
Stay safe
