Chapter 4

"We just see each other at weddings and funerals"

One moment, Percy was dancing and giving everything she could in her room, forgetting about the cruel reality her life's been with 'I think we're alone now' by Tiffany playing in the background, and then she's standing in the backyard, with the Hargreeves siblings, looking at a giant blue hole in the sky. Believe it or not, Percy's seen weirder things.

"What is it?"

"Don't get too close"

"Yeah, no shit"

"Looks like some sort of temporal anomaly." Luther said "Either that or a miniature black hole. One of the two".

"If it were a black hole, we'd definitely shouldn't be here, genius" Percy said while trying to pass through the brothers to get a better look at the... thing.

"Yeah, pretty big difference there, Paul Bunyan" Diego agrees with Percy just as Klaus came running out of the house with an extinguisher in his hands, Hades' knows why.

"Out of the way!"

"What are you-" before Luther could finish his question, Klaus threw the extinguisher through the blue hole. Let's hope nobody was on the other side.

"Klaus! Get back here!" Percy got a hold of said guy's arm and pulled him behind her.

"What is that gonna do?"

"I don't know. Do you have a better idea?" On cue electricity started crackling.

"Everybody, get behind me" Luther said while putting himself in front of the others. Diego doing the exact same thing.

"Yeah, get behind us" Percy rolled her eyes, she's gone through worse things than a damned hole, but they didn't know that, for obvious reasons.

"I vote for running, c'mon!" Klaus took Percy's arm and took a run to the house, but he didn't make it that far, he didn't even move Percy from her place behind the boys.

Just at that moment, a person seemed to be trying to pass through the hole, what surprised Percy was that it was a vaguely familiar face.

Finally, someone fell from the hole and landed on the dirt. The members of The Umbrella Academy took hesitant steps to the person and when they nearly reached him, he looked up and Percy's breath left her, her hand went to her mouth. Why? Because right in front of her was another person she cared for before he disappeared 17 years ago.

"Does anyone else see little Number Five, or is that just me?"

Percy realizes that the "little" part was not on purpose, because Number Five look down at himself and said just one word

"Shit"

Now, here they are, in the kitchen watching as Number Five made himself a peanut butter and marshmallows sandwich.

"What's the date? The exact date"

"The 24th" Percy knew that wasn't the complete answer of Five's question, but she prefers to stay quiet, still trying to figure out what the heck was happening.

"Of what?"

"March" Five looked at Percy for a brief second, something, maybe understanding, passing through his eyes as he did so, before his attention went back to his sandwich.

"Good"

Luther being Luther, asked "So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" And Five being Five paid him no attention and kept working on his sandwich. Luther couldn't take it anymore and stood up "it's been 17 years" Five glared at him and scoffed.
