Lovers of a Different Blood (OLD/DISCONTINUED)

Yet Another A/N:

I apologize for the lack of updates! I made a note in my newest story "For how Long will the Red Rose Grow" at the end of the first chapter going into more detail about why I'm pushing this to the back, but I can summarize here if you don't wish to read that story!

Basically, quarantine has hit us all very hard. I'm sure everyone and their brother knows that. Where I live, all the schools are returning to in-person learning except magnet schools, which is where I go. Learning virtually isn't really the problem here, though it's is part of it. I have a lot more homework doing school virtually than I would going in-person, so the majority of my time is going in to writing essays for my Dual Credit English class. It's also that being a senior with very little knowledge about what to do for graduation or even how to get the things required is very hard and stressful. I'm managing, but barely.

Now, that isn't all that's going on, but the rest is pretty personal so I won't delve in. I've decided to get back into writing (I will be updating the Short Stories soon if you guys care), and writing this makes me hit speed bump after speed bump, so I'm putting it on hold for how.

Once again, to clarify, this story is NOT cancelled, just on hold.

I've decided to step into more uncharted waters with my writing on this app, and deviate from my original Sonic the Hedgehog fan base to add in a sprinkle of other things to make my work a little more appealing to more than just one fandom. I'm not stepping away from Sonic forever, my most recent story IS a Sonic story. I just feel more things would be better than just being confined to one fandom.

And this story, being one of my most read ones and my oldest one, needs some refinement and time away from the spotlight to make sure it ends up as good as I want it to be. Going along the path of forcing myself to spew a chapter from nowhere would make them unbearable to read and ungodly short, which isn't always the best case scenario. I know I have lots of people wanting this updated, but I've truly hit a roadblock that is proving difficult to overcome. I made the concept for this story years ago; I remember bits and bobs, but not the whole, flushed out thing.

I will say it one more time for those in the back—this story IS NOT CANCELLED. I have no plans on tossing it out, I just need time to focus on my schoolwork and where I want my life to go, with little added chapters to some stories like the art book, or the Wings of Fire one I had typed a year or two ago, as well as some new things like "For how Long will the Red Rose Grow", or ones I have yet to even type.

That pretty much all I really have to say. I will go through and add and delete from this story as I need to, but for now that's all I plan to do with it. I will make another note with a chapter when I feel ready to go with it again.
