LOVERS OF A DIFFERENT BLOOD IS BACK

While I did mention last year (or two years ago?? Or more?????) that this story was on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time, it will remain that way a little longer. While I do intend to write and finish this story (as it's one of the most popular and one of the oldest books I've written on this account), I don't intend to do it now.

I am planning the chapter with the OCs soon! I've got a few open slots before I just create more OCs to fill it in. I wouldn't expect it within the year, with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, and my traveling to see my Grandparents in FL for the former, but who knows I might get it done and out before then. Depends on how diligent I am on writing it.

HOWEVER, to keep up to date with my current writing styles and to get myself back on track with this story, I will be completing editing and rewriting the entire story up until the last filler. This does include the changing of PoV, mostly from first person to third. I'll still keep track of who's mind we're in, but I won't be writing from their perspective. I'm unhappy with how it reads and how clunky and short the chapters are compared to newer stories (specifically "For How Long Will the Red Rose Grow" and "Racing Through the Primal Jungle") that range between 700 to 3,500 words and flow more fluidly. It's been on my to-do list for a while, but I've not really gotten around to doing it.

(I'm also planning on deleting the old A/Ns that don't relate to my life or holdups on chapters from the past)

I figured since 2022 seems to be the quote unquote "Year of the Hedgehog" with Sonic Origins, Sonic Frontiers, and Sonic Prime sometime this winter, I would give one of the more liked and read Sonic stories a rework to make it seem more interesting and up-to-date. I plan to get at least the first three done before the launch of Frontiers, so keep on the lookout!

Remember, it's not completely back yet, just in the updating process. I'll change the title to say so when I get around to reworking and ironing out the first chapter a second (or possibly third) time. I am an adult with adult things to do like work, but I've got enough free time between things to do some writing.

I've no idea when I'll get the first chapter rewritten and finished, but I hope before November. I've got a sort of class reunion coming up on Friday, so I probably won't get much done. I'll be putting some other stories on the back burner until I get this updated, though they're mostly passion projects and Fire Emblem stories I'm working on for fun. I'll still continue writing my Hanahaki Sonic story on the side.

That's pretty much all I've got for this A/N, so just keep your eyes open and notifications on for the next update!

I have decided to 'discontinue' this book, and rework it as a completely new book. It will have the same title, but with 'Reworked' or 'New' in it. I'll change this one to have 'Original' as its subtitle, but I won't be updating this one anymore.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I don't feel right just deleting all my old work when I could keep it to show my progress over the five or so years I've had to improve. I hope you all will show the new book just as much love as you have this one. Thank you so much for your support and patience, I really appreciate it (especially because I'm going through some hard times in my life right now) ❤️❤️
