Silver PoV:
The storm was a long and fierce one. I was rather bored most of the time it was raging outside the cave. Shadow was brooding in a corner, and Sonic has to rest his badly sprained ankle. I couldn't go outside, and I'd left all the books I owned at my home in the Silver Blood town.
If I had to guess, I'd say it lasted two or three days; I'd lost count after the first one. It's been a day since it ended, and the ground was too treacherous to walk on. I nearly sank into the muddy quagmire, and now I'm sitting uncomfortably on a rock, mud staining my fur to my sides.
Sonic laughed for about an hour, making terrible storm jokes, and we just had to endure it. If I had to pick between a book and Sonic's uncontrollable cackling, I'd DEFINITELY choose the book. I've started to develop a headache from this...
"Faker." Shadow snarled. "Would you SHUT. UP?!" He bellowed. Sonic fell quiet for a few seconds before a horrid smirk curled his lips. He chuckled before uttering one word. "Butt."
He started cackling again, and I swear my dad was about to kill him. I groan loudly, attempting to plug my ears with my fingers. I prop my elbows on my knees, ignoring the icky feeling of mud staining the milky fur I possess. I stuff my fingers into my ears and sigh as that only made the Blue Blood laugh harder.

It had been three days since the storm had ended, and the ground was still quicksand. I mean, it wasn't as bad, but it still would sink you down and reach your knees. Sonic was finally up on his feet again, but he was complaining that it still hurt him. I saw Shadow grumble something along the lines of 'I'll kill him before this is over', and I felt myself smile.
"It still huuuuuurrrtttssssss." Sonic groaned, limping in a circle. "Well," I began, lifting a finger to point at his feet, "it might hurt less if you stopped walking and sat down." The blue hedgehog deadpanned and walked over to a rock. He mocked me softly as he walked, and I smiled more.
These guys are a fun group.

An: yaaaay another short chapter to make up for the shortness of the last one! These two combined have something over 700 words (I think) so that meets the quota for Spring Break! I'm gonna write more next week, and this time I should hopefully make a longer chaptet so I don't need to make two. Also i know this is kinda late my fish died and i was mourning him...anyway, I hope this satisfies y'all for now! I'll see ya next week!
