A solemn moment

It's been three days now since the demons have been roaming around the streets. Not just in Ely, not just in England, it's not just a country or a continent, it's the entire world. Lots of schools have decided to close down, mostly for the safety of the students. College students are getting their assignments e-mailed, one per each teacher, each time the computer speaks 'You've got mail' it immediately triggers in them a chronic pain. It's mostly primary schools that are only considering closing down because they know that the children need to be followed. That's the case for Lukyo's school.
All her classmates knew that she always had a keen interest for the occult, most just thought she was obsessed with fairy-tales, pixies, black cats, anything that the average person would consider nonsense. One or two kids genuinely believed that what she does is evil. Heather was the only one other than Angel that was actually interested in doing magick with her, but Lukyo saw through the fact that she only wanted to be friends with her because of that, but nevertheless they never took her seriously until today November 2nd, which is also when Glenn saw the possessions on the news. Everyone in class started teasing the hell out of her. 'Oh hey! Can you do a Satanic ritual for us!' 'You're going to tell, you know that right?' 'In the name of the Father, the Son, The Holy Spirit, Amen.'
She never even mentioned anything about Satanism, a few years ago she just mentioned to a few close friends in the class that she does fortune telling and sometimes some spells, word probably spread, clearly it was a mistake. She didn't even respond to them, she just turned around with a disgusted look on her face.

They don't even have a proper way to tell if someone is possessed or simply acting out. Out of fear people would steer away from anyone wearing all black, in the worst case scenario they would get beaten up. So if someone like Angel or Khalid who likes the darker aesthetics were to go out simply to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks they run a high risk of danger.
Khalid is well aware of this. For years he's been called a Devil Worshipper. He didn't understand why until one day he was out with his friends at McDonald's. A group of four kids, black clothed and smudged eyeliner on their eyes were sitting at a table laughing hysterically. At first glance he thought they were cool, he's never spotted other Goth people outside of a Goth club, or at least he thought they were Goth.
As soon as they pointed their knives at people and hissed at them, he could clearly see that they were only doing it to scare people just for laughs. Posers! Was the word that echoed loudly in his head. Khalid detested those types of people, he knew that they were only dressing that way to seem intimidating and thought it was a very sick idea of a joke. In his eyes also very insulting to anyone that simply wants to wear black and eat a hamburger and hang out with his friends in peace.
He only owns black clothing. The only way for him to go out now is in his dog form, he only transforms in order to play with Rin but if it's the only way he can go out with out being attacked he's up for it. Besides with his dog eyes he can actually tell if someone is possessed or not and demons stay clear of him, having his guard up. He can't remember the last time he set foot in a classroom, maybe it's too late to go now, he keeps wondering around the streets in Ely knowing that he can always repeat the year and it doesn't bother him.

It's November 4th and everyday for Lukyo is harder and harder to bear. Glenn was still working from home so Angel still couldn't call Lukyo, he thought several times about asking Glenn to leave the room so that they can talk in private but he feared that might only make him even more suspicious so she hasn't heard from him these days and has no one to talk or open up to about anything, at least someone who understands magick the same way that she does, but also someone who suffered severely from bullying, and from the exact same people too.
Lukyo was always aware that it was incredibly painful for Angel to endure it, she thought that she could feel it as if his emotions were her own, but it was even more painful on her own skin.

Around lunch break the word has spread. 'Lukyo's a witch!' 'Lukyo is Satanic!' They were whispering all so loudly and she could hear all of them, it was like a million flies were swirling in and out of her ears and it was getting harder to ignore them. The temptation to send them flying across the room with her air element was getting stronger and stronger. Finally she made it out of the school. Every single classmate of her always takes the same road as her to get home, today she'd rather take a longer but quieter road, where the trees are filled with Ravens, it wasn't such a bad idea given that she's never seen a Raven from so up close before.
She doesn't want to see anybody, she wants to clear her head. The steps down are slippery and covered with moss, one could easily hurt themselves if they're not careful.

From the corner of her eyes, she can see a kid from her school, about the take the same road as her. Victor Jovel She can't even remember his name. They've never spoken and she never planned to, in her eyes he looked like just another imbecile, but right now that's what they all seem to her. Her logic is now clouded with darkness and solemn thoughts and it's eating away at every single shred of happiness she has left.
'Burn her at the stake!' Victor yells running past her.
Her instincts kick in, she extends her right arm and the wind swoops into the air. He yells out, crying in fear. The Ravens spread out flying in separate directions, croaking loudly and leaving a trail of feathers. It was just a moment, a moment of weakness that she cannot take back.
Lukyo retracts her arm close to her chest, wishing she had thought twice before using magick. She puts her backpack down on the steps, instead of using them she slides down the grass to get down faster, as Victor rolls down the steps like a car tier bouncing off a hill.
She feels his pulse on his wrist, it's still beating. In this part of the town there are lots of cute little houses all stacked up against one another, mostly inhabited by elderly people. She knocks on every door as loud as she can asking for help. 'Please call an ambulance! Now! Help!'
None of the kids from his school can see him lying down on the pavement. They can hear the shouting but can't make out the words. They laugh it off as someone playing tag and screaming from how much fun they're having.
