TRIGGER WARNING!
EATING DISORDER.
WAR.

Angel locked the door, knowing that whatever Lukyo is in need to talk about, Glenn is not meant to hear. They sit on the floor with their heads pressed against the mattress bed.
'I did something terrible... I didn't do it on porpoise it just...' She speaks softly but the pain in her stomach has spread and gotten a grip on her vocal chords. She clears her throat. 'Khalid saw me... He said that he won't tell anyone, but I don't like him and if I'm not nice to him he might tell what I did-' Lukyo spoke so fast that Angel barely got any of what she was saying.
'Lukyo, you lost me. I'm trying to understand...' Angel's eyes fall on Lukyo clutching her belly area. 'Are you not feeling well?'
Angel asks Glenn if he could make her some chamomile tea.

'Lukyo, slow down. What did Khalid see?' Angel's hand slides onto hers.
Lukyo is feeling that the love spell that she put on Angel a few years ago is finally working. He finally grabs her hand, it makes her so happy but now is just not the time.
'Lukyo... I can't help you if you won't tell me what happened.'
Knock! Knock! Knock! 'The chamomile tea is ready.' Glenn says.
Angel thanks his brother and closes the door. He places the boiling hot cup on the nightstand next to the bed.
He returns to holding her hand.
Tears stream down her eyes before she even gets a chance to get the words out. 'I used my element to hurt a kid in my class...' The words out muffled and suffocated. She wanted to scream but she couldn't with Glenn in the other room.
Angel hugs her, he wishes that he knew how to help her in this situation.
The phone rings, it makes Lukyo jump up and bash her elbow against the bedfoot.

'It's alright. It's just the phone.' Angel lifts the chord with one hand, with the other still holding her hand with the other. Angel never liked holding hands with anyone, especially by his father. If anyone in the family tried to hold his hand simply for crossing the road he would scream and weasel his way out of it, demanding not to be touched because he wasn't going to get hit by any vehicles. It made his hand feel trapped and squished, but it's not bad with his best friend.

'Hello? Angel. It's me, Liam.'
Angel sighs, he hopes that he's not going to blow his phone up again like last time. 'Hello, Liam.'
'Listen, Khalid doesn't have your number so he called me and asked me to tell you this. He said it was urgent.' Liam says.
Angel looks at Lukyo. She mentioned that Khalid saw her. Does he have nothing better to do than to tell everyone other people's business?

'Angel? Can you hear me?' Liam asks.
'Yes. Just a moment...' Angel peeps through the door hinge to make sure that Glenn is not listening in. Thankfully, he's watching the news.

'You probably haven't seen it on the news yet but they are saying that it's best to lock everybody in and avoid contact with anyone who is not of family.' Liam says, readily.

Angel stays silent. He's glad he's not calling about Lukyo. He massages her hand with his thumb, not sure if she can hear the conversation, but if she can he doesn't want her to panic. A lot of questions start racing through his mind like laser beams reflecting in a room where there's only mirrors. Why are we being locked in? Is something wrong? Glenn also said that I should avoid seeing people, is it for the same reason? Is it because of the demons that we...? Is it our fault? Did we cause this?
He looks at Lukyo drearily sipping at the cup. It was her idea in the first place... No I can't take it out on her. We were all there. We all condensed. We're all to blame.

'I don't watch the news. It's boring.' Angel says. He knows how absurd he sounds but is unapologetic about it. He can hear Liam breathing with displeasure over the phone.

'Khalid says that he'll come by some other time. Okay. I'll call to check in on you later. Bye.' Liam waits silently for Angel to say goodbye  and hang up.
'Okay, Liam. Bye!' He shouts, high-pitched. Leaves the phone misplaced.
