Cynthia was sat, at her gaming setup, criss crossed in front of her screen. Her minecraft was pulled up and displayed the server her and Ranboo created and evolved on.
Ranboo joined the game
She smiled
<Cynthicize_> hiiii <Ranboo> hello! <Ranboo> i figured i'd find you here :) <Ranboo> discord before i start school? <Cynthicize_> please? :)
Cynthia pulled up her discord just in time to answer Ranboo's call. They played for a few minutes before she eventually had to go for her classes. She promised to still okay minecraft throughout the day.
"Good morning class! How was everyone's first weeks of school? Good i hope?" Mr. Turner, the girl's homeroom and first period teacher, said cheerfully. She whined in response as it was merely 7am and he was so upbeat and happy.
All of the cameras seemed to be off which was a success for her. She hated showing her face to people, especially people she didn't quite know or like.
Her day droned on as if it was never ending. She realized quickly that she had 6/9 classes with Andrew, the boy she'd met the day prior. This came as a shock, but also a relief to her. At least she knew someone.
As soon as all of her classes were over, she started on her school work. Her and her mom had a deal; school work starts slacking and grades start dropping she doesn't get to stream or play until they're up.
A ringing noise brought her out of her concentrated headspace. The ringing was incessant and didn't stop but for a few seconds before it started up again, so she answered.
"CYD!" Austin yelled through the phone. A smile grew on her face once she realized who called.
"Hi!" She yelled happily as she wrote a few more equations down.
"We miss you!" Paige said sadly.
"I miss you guys too." Cynthia responded, a pout forming on her lips.
"What are you doing?" Austin asked.
"My Caluclus. Next is AP English, then AP Chemistry. I also have to practice for some technical things for my Music Theory class." She informed.
Paige and Austin kept her company until she finished all of her work. When she was finally completed her work, a knock echoed throughout the house.
Cynthia quickly hung up on the pair as she walked down the stairs. She opened the door to reveal Andrew.
"Could you help me with the AP Chem? I'm confused on some of the problems and have some things to do tonight." He asked sheepishly. Cynthia smiled and welcomed him into her home.
"Sorry if it's last minute, I'm just confused and i made this deal with my mom and it's merely the second week and-"
"Hey, calm down its fine." She laughed, releasing the tension held in the air. He smiled.
"If you go upstairs my school room is the first door to your left," She instructed, "you can sit at my desk while i get us some snack. Are you allergic to anything or prefer anything?"
Andrew shook his head and walked upstairs.
first door on tue left. first door on the left. first door on the- oh, got it. Andrew repeated in his head. Getting lost would be too overbearingly embarrassing. He looked around at the room. It was neat, organized. Her desk was inside of her closet and LED lights hung from corner to corner in the room. Three beanbags were spread across the room in a somehow neat manner.
"You can sit at my desk if you'd like." Cynthia said as she walked into the room. She was carrying chips and some ranch dip.
The next hour flew by quite quickly. After they finished his chemistry they talked for a bit. An alarm went off on his phone and he bid her a goodbye after exchanging phone numbers.
As soon as she got comfortable upstairs in her gaming chair, Ranboo phoned her.
"Ranboo! Ranboo Ranboo! I made a friend today!"
"Thats so amazing! Congrats!" He congratulated. Ranboo was proud of his best friend. She knew sheNd be proud of any of his accomplishments as well.
They progressed in their world. They had beat the enderdragon on her stream for fun, After that the world became a place to go and vent to one another or just play to play. They'd play alone and they'd play together. She genuinely enjoyed his company.
That being said, Cynthia had never been able to tell the difference between a platonic friendship and a romantic one. Her and Ranboo never flirted, but she was confused on whether she liked him or not. Her liking him would be bad; very, very bad.
Cynthia has been in a relationship with Austin for over a year. Nearing 16 months not actually. While they'd drifted due to her recent move, ahe loved him. Or so she hopes.
She lived him at the beginning, no doubt about it, but now they both have totally different lives and they rarely text or talk. Ranboo and her talk more than her and Austin.
Cynthia was terrified of losing her best friend. Whether that be Austin or Ranboo. Losing one or both would kill her. She couldn't bare it; not in the slightest.
When the girl fell asleep that night her head was full of unwanted thoughts. She'd probably end up cleaning her house in order to take her mind off of it.
