So, because we hit 100 votes last week this is an extra long chapter!

It would be amazing if you could leave some comments because I would really like to know what you think of it!

Kaya found the children training together and brought them back to her house after reassuring them, that Chiasa was fine and the Hatake just didn't want to leave her alone. In truth, the moment she had asked the shinobi if he'd gather his students, the Jounin had growled threateningly at her, a crazed gleam in his eyes – one a dark charcoal, the other a deep sharingan red. She'd concluded it would be best to leave the feral shinobi be.

When they returned, Chiasa was awake and after apologizing to her little brother, Team 7 ended up together in Kaya's small bed, cuddling with a desperate craving until they fell asleep one after the other.

In the middle of the night, Chiasa carefully fled the puppy pile, which turned out to be harder than she had originally thought. The kids had clung to her like leeches and even Kakashi had his fingers weaved into strands of her hair, holding on to her in his own awkward way.

After she had successfully wriggled her way out – the silver-haired Jounin had almost woken when she entangled her hair – the kunoichi let out a sigh of relief before silently stumbling through the Uzumaki's house.

Her legs still felt weak, and it was half a miracle that she escaped Kaya's house without crashing into anything, but what she planned to do needed to be done now before she thought better of it. Her plan would be difficult and dangerous on a good day – the old Uchiha kunoichi, a distant great-great cousin to Uchiha Madara, had warned her that supressing memories always came with a price – and suicidal on a bad one. The strain releasing that memory would put on her body could kill her but waiting until she was stronger meant being weaker for longer. She had survived the destruction of Orochimaru's seal, she'd survive her own mind as well. She had precious people to come back to after all.

Heavily breathing, Chiasa climbed one of the ruins of the small settlement the Gennin had coincidentally found that day and settled into a meditative position. Though, not before painting a silencing and chakra cloaking seal on the ground. Confident that nobody would hear her or feel her chakra spike, the brunette kunoichi took a deep, calming breath and dived into her mind daringly.

She knew it would hurt, she knew it would be torture, she knew it could destroy her, but she also knew it was necessary.

'I'm the Clan Head of the Uchiha and we Uchiha endure anything for our loved ones. We are strong, we will not break,' Chiasa told herself firmly.

Purposeful, she searched for the shabby, dark red – the colour of old, dried blood – box, which she had locked and hidden with the intention of never seeing it again. When she found it, there was a minimal glimmer of fear in her eyes before she ripped it open, letting the memory swallow her.

*Flashback*

"Wake up, bitch!"

Groaning, she forced her eyes open, blinking rapidly to recognise anything in the dim room. It was cold and clammy, a shiver ran down her spine as the biting coldness settled into her bones, and it stunk like somebody had thrown up gallons of alcohol.

Another slap in the face and her head snapped to the side, a metallic liquid filling her mouth.

'Concentrate,' the Uchiha ordered herself harshly.

Muffled crying reached her ears and suddenly, Chiasa was wide awake.

Sasuke.

Kami, she had been with Sasuke when ... Kiri ... red clouds... a Kiri missing-nin attacked them.
