"Kakashi-sensei! Chiasa-nee! We're back!"
Cheerfully, Naruto stormed inside the house, freezing mid-movement. Behind him Sakura gasped in horror while Sasuke pushed past him, hastening to the Jounin's bedroom. Disbelieving, the blond jinchuuriki looked around the room, everything had been torn down like an explosion had happened in the centre of their home. Millions of shards littered the floor, wood and glass combined.
"Kaa-san isn't here," muttered Sai soberly and Naruto and Sakura turned to him confused, just as Sasuke ran back, horror and terror displayed on his face.
"They're not here!"
"How did you know she wasn't here?" asked Sakura tensely, trying to keep the growing fear down.
They wouldn't just disappear without a single word, not Chiasa-nee and not Kakashi-sensei.
"Kaa-san left on a mission last night, she came to say goodbye, but you were already asleep."
Frantically, Sasuke shook his head.
"Nee-san wouldn't have left without saying goodbye. She would have woken us no matter what."
"Let's ask Kakashi-sensei," decided Naruto. "He must know what's going on."
"We should also tell an adult about the break-in in our home," muttered Sakura, eyeing the broken furniture critically. "It could be an attack from the other villages or Akatsuki could have found a way inside."
Frowning, the younger Uchiha asked reluctantly: "Could it be that sensei got kidnapped and Nee-san went after him?"
"Kaa-san was crying."
Pale-faced, Sasuke repeated ghostly: "Crying?"
"Let's hurry to Tsunade-sama!" decided Sakura, grabbing Sasukes' hand and pulling him after her.
With Naruto and Sai following closely behind, she hastened through Konoha, storming into Tsunade's office unannounced.
"Where is my sister?!" sneered Sasuke, breaking free from Sakura's hold and walking towards the Hokage.
Hastily the pinknette reached for him again, hissing: "Don't be rude, Sasuke!"
"Baa-chan," Naruto stepped in between this packmates and the Sannin. "Sai said Chiasa-nee has a mission, but she didn't say goodbye to us, so that can't be true, dattebayo."
Eyeing the distraught children, Tsunade sighed inwardly, folding her hands together. She hadn't expected to face Team 7 so soon and without the silver-haired Jounin.
"She does have a mission, but it's classified."
"Does it have anything to do with Kakashi-sensei's disappearance? And why our home is completely destroyed?" asked Sakura, tightening her hold around our the Uchiha's arm.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Frowning, Tsunade shook her head.
"I can assure you Kakashi isn't missing. And about your house I'll start investigating right away. You should keep looking for your sensei."
Relieved that at least Kakashi hadn't been kidnapped Sakura bowed and thanked the blonde quickly, pushing her packmates out of the room.
Just before the doors fell shut, Sasuke turned back, asking: "When will she be back?"
And Tsunade was forced to fake a reassuring smile, mouthing an untrue: "Soon."

"Let's think, guys. Where would Kakashi-sensei be if not at home or on a mission?"
