"I never thought Jiraiya of the Sannin could be such a stuck-up bastard," said Chiasa sharply, hand clutching at Kakashi's bicep.
She had known that the Sannin wanted to take Naruto away, but knowing and hearing it was something else.
"Admittedly, I do not like you. Oh, do not look like that esteemed Toad Sannin." A vicious smirk grazed her face as she looked at the flabbergasted faces of the Sannin and Tenzo. "Not everyone is a fan of yours and is blinded by the fame surrounding the Legendary Sannin, the heroes of the Second Shinobi World War. I am certainly not. Just one question, really. Have you asked Naruto if he even wants to go or are you just going to break in and tear him from his friends and family?"
"I'm doing what's best for Naruto," replied Jiraiya tensely. "Minato would have wanted-"
"How nice of you to mention Minato-san and Kushina-oba-san. I am sure they would also have wanted you to leave Naruto on his own for thirteen years, you know, your godson. That is another excellent question by the way. Are you going to tell him what you are to him, what you were meant to be? He is not stupid; he will figure it out and it is going to hurt him."
"I did what I had to do. Sensei needed a spymaster, especially after the Kyuubi Attack. And you're one to talk, Chiasa, Kushina was your godmother, you could have looked after him if you were so concerned. Instead, you left the village and it's only because sensei's too soft-hearted that you're allowed to see him again."
With an infuriated screech the Uchiha let go of Kakashi and moved towards the Sannin, trembling with held back rage.
"Do not compare us, Sannin! You were the only one permitted to talk to him! Your sensei's benevolence forced my family to stay away! Kaa-san wanted to take him in but she was forbidden; she could not even see him in the hospital! I was not even allowed to be on is ANBU protection squad! The only knowledge we got about him were the things Sasuke would talk about the Academy and the mission reports, which I had to pull so many strings to read, you would not believe it! But you, Jiraiya, you willingly left! I saw you that day, when you told the Sandaime you did not want to see your godson! And by Amaterasu; I know how much it hurts to see him! He is so much like Oba-san that sometimes I think she is standing right in front of me. I will not stop him from going with you if that is what he wants, kami knows he deserves to have every damned chance to get to know you, the man that taught his father! But I will do anything to prevent him from getting hurt ever again, especially by you! And if that means fighting a Sannin, by Amaterasu, I will!"
"And that is exactly why Naruto's going to decide," interrupted Tsunade loudly, motioning for Tenzo to open the office door, letting three Genin in. "I was so free to call in Team 7. Don't worry, they didn't hear a thing; I've activated the silencing seals before you started shouting like children."
"What's going on, Baa-chan?" asked Naruto curiously as he looked at the people in the office.
There was the unknown ANBU, Chiasa-nee and Kakashi-sensei, and Jiraiya. It wasn't hard to guess what they had talked about, and Naruto subconsciously took a step closer to his packmates, the other two automatically surrounding him protectively. It made him strangely happy to see anger on his sensei's face, hinting that neither of the adult was happy to let him leave and that meant so much to him - to finally have people that wanted him around.
"I guess Jiraiya has already mentioned to you that he'd like to train you outside of the village? Yeah? Thought so. Now then, your senseis don't agree with that for various reasons, which I'm not going to explain now, but it's your life and hence your decision," explained Tsunade, glowering threateningly at the other adults in the room to keep their opinions to themselves.
