When you closed the apartment door behind you, you were surprised to see Yoongi also exiting his own. He smiled as a greeting, it was still a bit of an adjustment to you that he wasn't running away or spitting some snide remark. You returned his gesture. "Are you going somewhere?" you asked.

"To lunch with a friend," he answered casually. "You?"

The two of you began walking towards the elevator. He wore his usual tight black jeans and loose black dress shirt. Somehow, he looked regal regardless. "Jimin asked me to go tux shopping with him for the wedding. And we're grabbing lunch beforehand."

He nodded, genuinely intrigued from what you could see. Once in the elevator, you noticed he stood near you. Not close enough where your shoulders touched, but close enough for you to get a whiff of his scent. It wasn't sweet, it was intoxicating. You couldn't help but steal glances at him sideway. The way his hair parted to the side, the way his collar bone was exposed. Was he having lunch with a girl? Despite being on the same bed as him every night and writing about him for your assignment, you felt like that would be too intrusive of a question. Yoongi noticed you staring and smiled to himself. It was getting increasingly hard to not want your attention. Since telling you his story, he questioned why he was still holding back.

The elevator ride went on for another eternity before you heard the ding. You were still thinking about who he would be eating with. It bothered you that you were so hung up about it but you justified it by thinking any friend would be curious. Yoongi spent almost every day at work, and he rarely talked about anything but music. Your mind was still on that thought and you hadn't realized he had gotten on the bus with you. "I'm going the same way," he explained. The bus was far from being vacant. There was only one seat near the rear. "Sit," he commanded before you could protest. He stood next to you, holding onto the railing above. There were some seats that had opened up as the bus made its stop, but he didn't want to leave your side. He didn't dare think about what creep would try to bother you. At one point, the bus made a sharp turn and you were almost flung off your seat. But Yoongi was there to hold your shoulders before your body collided with the floor. When you looked up, your cheeks flushed. His face was only a few inches from yours, you could feel his breath. "Thanks," you said and quickly resituated yourself. You leaned your head against the window to cool your face. He thought it was cute. Your cheeks were rosy and your doe-like eyes made his stomach flutter. But he was glad you two were in a public space. He shuddered at the thought of what he might have done if you two had been alone.

When it was your stop, you saw that he also headed for the exit. He did say he was heading the same way, you reminded yourself. But something was definitely weird when he was walking in the same direction as you. He didn't say anything, as if there was nothing strange about the situation. You spotted your brother and his fiance by the entrance of the restaurant, and Yoongi was still beside you.

"Finally you're both here," Jimin sighed with exaggeration, "let's go inside, I'm starving."

"Wait, you invited him?" you asked cluelessly.

"Well duh, why do you think he's here?" Jimin teased. Yoongi couldn't help but laugh.

You frowned, slapping his shoulder lightly. "Why didn't you tell me you were getting lunch with my brother?"

"You didn't ask," he shrugged. The party of 4 followed the hostess to the table inside. The A/C was perfectly crisp. The couple chatted endlessly, completely forgetting the guests they've invited. You were envious nonetheless, to have someone you would never get tired of seeing or never running out of things to say.

"Since when did you two become friends?" you questioned, pointing at your brother and neighbor.

"We work together," Yoongi pointed out.

Jimin nodded, "That, and I have to keep tabs on who my sister is living next to,"

"I'm not a kid, Jimin. I'm gonna graduate college soon."

"Do I need to remind you what happened with the frying fan?" he challenged.

You gasped, "Don't you dare."

"What happened with the frying fan?" Taehyung asked. You were quite surprised Jimin hadn't spilled that story yet and you pray he never will.

"I'm not telling you!" you yelled.

"What about me?" Yoongi chimed in mischievously.

"Absolutely not!" you emphasized. Yoongi chuckled in amusement and you glared at Jimin for bringing it up. Taehyung quickly steered the conversation to the wedding, what they have planned for it so far. Jimin watched attentively as his fiance discussed wedding venues. Considering that Taehyung is a professional photographer, Jimin was content with letting him plan the creative aspects of the wedding. Their discussion became background noise as you began eating.

"Y/N, you should pay attention," Taehyung scolded. "Pretty soon it's gonna be your turn."

You choked on the soup. Yoongi was also stunned by the comment. He handed you his napkin and patted your back gently. "Be careful," he said softly, his brows knitted together. Jimin watched with curious eyes. Of course you had thought about getting married, long ago, but now that you're older, it all felt like a scam. It was for some people but you were certain it wasn't for you. After lunch, the group relocated to the tailor shop nearby. Jimin said you only get married once, so he wanted to go all out. He deserves that much, you thought. Clothing was not your area of expertise, and certainly not tux for that matter. You were only here for moral support, or so you thought. One of the associates guided you towards the dressing room. Yoongi thought you were being kidnapped but Jimin assured him he would like the surprise.

When you came back out, Yoongi thought how "like" was an understatement. Jimin had secretly arranged for you to try on a dress he saw as they walked into the shop. The long satin piece clung onto your body. The loose neckline gave little to the imagination. "Do I look weird?" you asked after seeing that people were staring at you. Yoongi hadn't realized that his jaws had dropped until he regained awareness.

"No," he said right away, feeling his breath hitched. "The opposite actually."

You blushed, it was something that happened so often and naturally when you're with him. And you were savoring his attention. Yoongi felt his stomach fluttering like before. He couldn't take his eyes off of you, even when you changed back into your other clothes. He questioned his sanity one more time the reason he was holding back.
