I used to go to school with NCT's Sungchan. We were friends but we were also outcasts and misfits. We both have a passion for rapping. He went into achieve his dream and I didn't. I work as a makeup artist on the show Inkigayo, Sungchan is a new MC on there. It's a coincidence that I ended up working there. Sungchan has just started. I don't wanna me a makeup artist but I'm good at it. I like it because I get to do idols makeup. I want to be a rapper like Sungchan. My parents disagreed with me wanting to do that. They just didn't approve. So they made me study beauty. Sungchan feels really bad that he achieved his dream and I didn't. I'm kinda jealous of all the other idols. We used to rap in school and then we were made fun of because of it. We shouldn't have been treated that way because we both had a passion for rap music. I am really proud of Sungchan for debuting in NCT. He really deserves it. We see each other once a week at the show. I do Sungchan's makeup. Today is Sunday and filming day for Inkigayo. I have to wake up early to be there to do hair and makeup. I set my alarm for 6am every Sunday morning so I'm ready. I wake up and get ready and do my hair and makeup first. I leave and arrive at the studio soon. I go straight in and start doing the stars makeup. Sungchan should be here soon. He might be late running so I'll just wait for him to show. Sungchan arrives about 10 minutes later. "Hey, Y/ N" he said. "Hey, Sungchan. I thought you were never gonna come" I say. "Don't worry. I'm here" he smiles. Sungchan and I talk while I do his makeup. He never keeps still when I'm trying to do him. "Will you just keep still, boy?" I say. "Sorry. Haha" he laughs. I was eventually able to do his makeup without him running around. The show starts. I always wait around so I can see Sungchan at the end when he's done. We always talk and sometimes go out for lunch. Think that's what we'll do today. Looking forward to seeing him again later

It's after the show now so I get to see Sungchan. He always comes to me which is very sweet of him. He's a very sweet guy and he is my friend. I wait in the dressing room and the door opens. Sungchan walks in with a smile on his face and says "Hey, Y/ N. I'm here" he said. "Hey, Sungchan" I say. He sits next to me. "I see you're waiting for me" he said. "Yes I always am. Aren't I? Well done on today. Awesome once again" I said. "Thanks" he smiles. Sungchan and I talk backstage for a while before going for lunch together. We go to a nice cafe not far from the Inkigayo studio. It's one of our favourite places to go to. We get what we want. Toasted sandwiches and coffee and sat at a table. We talk as we eat but try not to choke on the food. Sungchan said something funny and made me laugh. "Sorry" he laughs. "It's okay" I say. We make eye contact for a second. "Y/ N, there's something I need to say to you" Sungchan said. "Sure" I reply. "I think you deserve the world. I know you wanted to become famous like me" he said touching my hand. "Yeah well maybe it's not meant to be" I say. "Of course it is. I believe that anything is possible" Sungchan said. "Well I'm a makeup artist now and I like it but I love music even better" I say. "I know you do. Well maybe I've been talking to our manager and he might sign you. You'll have to pass an audition though" Sungchan said. "Really, Sungchan. You're the best friend I could ask for. Thank you" I say putting my arms around him. "You're very welcome, Y/ N. I know you'll pass and you'll get what you've always wanted" be smiles. That's great news. I might have a chance to do what I've always wanted to do all thanks to my great friend. I might be famous soon

It's a few weeks later and I passed my audition with the SM boss. I got in and they are signing me soon. Looks like I'm going to be an artist. Yay! Finally . I'm so happy and Sungchan is so happy for me too. He's so happy for me. He screamed so loud with I passed. He was one of the only people who believed in me all this time. I should've auditioned sooner and chased my dreams and ignored my parents. He believed in me. Sungchan is the best. Tonight we are out at a karaoke club. Sungchan, I and some of the NCT guys. He's asked me to sing Misfit with him when it's our turn. Well rap with him. Can't wait. Misfit is such a good song. We are going to the karaoke club now and we'll be there soon. Sungchan and I are in the taxi together on our way to meet the guys at the karaoke club. "Can't wait for our epic duet tonight" he said. "Yes me too. It's gonna be lit" I reply. "Well it's kinda our song since we were both misfits" Sungchan said. We arrived and walked in together. Sungchan holds open the door for me and I walk in. The guys were there so we join them. "Hey, you two" Taeyong said. "Hey" I say. "It's the misfits" Ten said. "We are not anymore" Sungchan said. We had something to eat and drink then it was time for karaoke. Xiaojun and WinWin were first and then Sungchan and I. "Okay, y'all. We are going to sing Misfit for you. This girl here has always been a star so she'll start" he said. I smile at him as the music starts. I get a round of applause as I take to the stage. I hear the guys talking about me. Sungchan joins in when it's his verse. We both get a round of applause at the end. "Thank you" we say taking a bow. "That was pretty awesome. Don't you think?" he whispers. I smile and nod. We carry on having drinks with the guys till the nights ended

We leave the karaoke bar just after midnight. We sang a couple more songs on karaoke. Me and Sungchan and the guys too. I was a little tipsy to be honest. I had about five drinks. Sungchan was sober. He only had two drinks. Sober enough. I felt like I should get going as it's getting late and I'm tired after all the fun. Sungchan walks out with me and we wait outside in the pouring rain for our ride. "I don't want this night to end, Y/ N. I want to do Misfit on karaoke again" he said. "Yes me too" I reply. He stands close to me in the rain and puts his arms around me. "I like you, Y/ N. I've really liked you all this time and I can't hide my feelings from you. I think you are the most beautiful and talented girl in the world. You are something special. You really are and I've always seen that in you" Sungchan said. I didn't really know what to say to him. I hesitated for a moment. I haven't actually thought about if I like Sungchan in that way but I guess I do. Yes I do. I think I do. "I-I-I like you too I guess, Sungchan. You're a great guy. The only person who's ever really believed in me" I say. "I want you and I guess you want me" he said. Before I could say anything else, Sungchan pulls me in and kisses me on the lips. We kiss in the rain and the other guys see us but we didn't care about that. I guess I have always liked Sungchan and he's always liked me too. So maybe we are together now that we've kissed. Magical end to a magical night. I will never stop till I achieve my dream and my dream is to become an idol. Think I'm one step closer now

A/ N: Sungchan guys. He's really awesome. A great audition to NCT. He fits right in and is captivating me more. I thought I'd base it on Misfit as it's an awesome song and Sungchan's debut. Sorry if it seems a bit short. Kinda lost motivation as I heard some disappointing news this afternoon

In other news WayV's made a comeback today and it's so good. I'll do Xiaojun next
