Chapter 26

Ross' POV
Chemaiyah and I walk Kaitlin back to mine and her's room and sit her down on our bed.

"Kaitlin, what happened?" I ask face to face with a dizzy girl i barely even recognized.

"Nothinggg Rosssss. I- I'm Fiinne" she slurs.

"No you're not! Kaitlin! You can barely talk!" I say.

"I think we should take her to the hospital" chemaiyah says.

"Good idea!" I say standing up off of my knees and picking her up to carry her to the car.

Chemaiyah helps me put Kaitlin in the backseat.

After we get her situated in her seat I climb in the drivers seat and chemaiyah gets in beside Kaitlin to make sure she's okay the whole ride.

It takes about twenty five minutes to get to the hospital.
We check her in and wait in the lobby for her room to be ready.

I nervously shake my leg while we wait.
Chemiayah reaches over and sets her hand on my shaking leg.

"It'll be okay Ross. She'll be okay" she says calmly.

I shake my head and give her a half smile.
Even though I believed that to be the case i was still worried. she lost a lot of blood which isn't healthy.

"Kaitlin Margolis Lynch?" A nurse calls.
We stand up and pull Kaitlin up with us.
The nurse notices her weakness and goes to grab a gurney.

Once she's back i slowly pick up Kaitlin and lye her on the rolling bed.

They roll her away to her room leaving use cluelessly following behind.

"The doctor will be right in" the nurse says after we get to our assigned room.

"Thank you" i say.

She nods her head and slowly shuts the door.

We wait nervously in the room for awhile.
I look at Kaitlin constantly then look back at my phone.
Waiting for a text back from my parents.
I told them what had happened to Kaitlin and they haven't responded yet.

"Stop worrying Ross. she's okay!" Chemaiyah says.

"I know. I know! I'm just, scared. i don't want to loose her" I say running my fingers through my hair.

Then, there was a knock on the door.

"Kaitlin?" The doctor says opening the door and walking in.

"Yes" i say.

"What seems to be the problem?" The doctor says.

"She cut herself multiple times and now she's really week. we're afraid she lost to much blood" Chemiayah says.

"And you are?" The doctor says.

"I'm her best friend. Chemiayah" she says.

"Okay. well, we'll take some tests and see what we can do" the doctor says.

"Okay thank you dr..." I say.

"Dr. Thomas" the doctor says shaking my hand.

"Thank you dr. Thomas" i say standing up.

"A nurse will be right in to take some tests" dr. thomas says.

"Okay" i say.

The doctor leaves and i walk over to Kaitlin and grab her hand.
Her hand was cold and her wrist was all bloody.
I slowly bent down and kissed her cuts.

I felt my eyes start to tear up.

I can't believe this happened.
And, it's all my fault.
