Chapter 22

Kaitlin's POV

i woke up next to Ross. on the couch. With the tv still on. Playing the promo for the movie we last watched.

I shake Ross awake.

"Babe. Babe wake up!" I say.

He slowly opens his eyes and sits up.

"Why are we on the couch?" He asks.

"We fell asleep watching a movie. remember?" I say.

"Oh yeah." he says.

"You're acting kinda strange. are you okay?" I ask.

"Yeah. i just had a weird dream. that's all." he says.

"What about?" I ask. repositioning myself on the couch.

"I had a dream that we got divorced and me and Laura started dating" Ross says.

"Oh" i say. Sitting back.

"Yeah." he says.

"You don't think thats gonna happen. do you?" I ask.

"No! Of course not! I love you! And no one but you." He says.

I look at him.

"The way i like you" he says.

"Okay" i say.

He leans in and kisses me. but something strange happens. something that's never happened before with us.

I feel... Nothing.

I lean out of the kiss.

"Something wrong?" Ross asks.

"No... Yes. When you kissed me. I didn't feel.. Anything. if that even makes since" i say.

"Yeah. i get it" he says.

"Maybe.. If you kiss me again. It'll be different" i say.

"Okay" he says.

Ross leans in and kisses me with the most passion possible.

I lean back smiling.

"Feel anything then?" He asks.

"Yeah" i say smiling again.

"Oh really..." He says smiling back.

"Mhm" i say.

He leans in again.

This time, the kiss lasts over a minute.

It gets heated real fast and right when he goes to pick me up my mom walks in with the kids.

We separate super fast and walk to the door to get them.

"Thanks mom" i say.
"Bye!"

I shut the door and put the twins down to crawl around.

After awhile of their playing Ross calls me.

"Kaitlin look!" He calls pointing to Mya and Rolan. they were helping each other stand up.
And next thing you know... They were walking! Hand in hand!!

"Yay!!!!" We both scream clapping our hands.

I run over to them and pick up Mya and Ross picks up Rolan.

We squeeze them tight and kiss their cute little faces.

We spend quality family time together all day and just enjoy each other's company.
