Chapter 23

(The next day)

Ross' POV

I wake up next to Kaitlin looking beautiful as ever.
I smile down at her then slightly kiss her forehead.
I decide to get up and take a shower.

Kaitlin's POV

I wake up to the bathroom door shutting and the shower water running.

I look next to me and Ross is gone.
I go to roll back over but i hear a familiar buzzing sound.

I look over to Ross' night stand and see his phone sitting there. Buzzing.

I slowly roll over and grab his phone.

"He-Hello?" I say.

"Hey Ross! It's Mia! Your ex girlfriend. Remember? We went out in high school but broke up because i moved away? Well I'm back! Wanna meet up?" Some girl said on the other end.

"Uh. this isn't Ross. it's his wife. Kaitlin.." I say.

"Oh" the girl says sounding disappointed.
"Well, can you put Ross on the phone?"

"You really think I'm gonna put MY husband on the phone after you just said yall were ex's?!?" I say.

"Yeah..." The girl Mia says

"well sorry. but he's mine now. so back off" i say violently pressing the 'end call' button.

"Who was that?" Ross asks coming out of the bathroom brushing his teeth.

"It was your ex. Mia. Apparently she's back in town and wants to meet up." i say.

"Oh" he says sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah. are you?" I ask concerned.

"No! I have you now. You're all i need" he says pecking my lips.
"You mean the world to me baby. And no ex girlfriend can take that away"

"Thanks Ross" i say hugging him.

"You're welcome. I love you" he says.

"I love you too" i say smiling.

Then, my smile fades as a thought comes to my head.

"What's wrong?" Ross says.

"Nothing. it's just.. Have you ever had the feeling that we rushed too much into all of this and now our life together isen't as fun anymore?" I ask.

"Sometimes. but then i look at you and forget about all of those thoughts" he says smiling.

"Awww! You always know just what to say" i say.

"I know" Ross says smirking.

"Hey! Lets go get some breakfast!" I say.

"Okay" Ross says.

So we both finish getting ready then head out for breakfast.
