"Y/n, come out come out wherever you are...", you're hidden away in a dark alley, a smug disgusting voice calling out to you from the darkness. "I'm gonna find you!" You feel your heart beating, like it could burst out of your chest at any moment; a hand placed over your mouth so the sound of your panicked breathing wouldn't be heard. It felt like hours as you hid, listening to the silence. Finally standing, turning to look in the direction the voice was coming from. As you do, a vine slithers along the ground, unseen by you as you look around to see where the man had gone. The vine slowly curled round your ankle, and as you looked down, it pulled your foot from beneath you, causing you to hit the ground. The vine quickly pulling you through the darkness, in towards a forest. You scream and cry, scratching at the ground and frantically pulling at the vine trying to unravel it without any luck. You suddenly stop. In the centre of the woods. Many more roots and vines curl and grow around you, as you still scream for help. "No one can hear you. Its just me and you now, no big strong man to save you." Your eyes dart around, looking for the owner of the sickening voice. You feel yourself fill with fear as your eyes meet the same ones from the other night. Deja vu hits you like a truck as you lay trapped in the darkness with the vile man as he makes his way towards you. He claimed over the top of you as you twisted and tried so hard to escape the still growing vines. A huge lump growing in your throat as you fought back tears. You squeeze your eyes tightly shut, shouting "NO! NO! NO!", over and over again. Till you hear a distant banging. Getting louder and louder as you feel the vines slip away, unraveling themselves.

Your eyes shoot open, darting to the clock on your nightstand. '3:00am', you hear the banging again, someone was at the door. You grab your robe, making your way to the door. When you look through the peephole, you see a very concerned Evelyn, just as you saw her raise her arm once more to continue knocking, you unlock the door, pulling it open. "Jesus Evie, whats wrong? Why are you here at 3am?" Her eyes widen as she stares at you. "Whats happened, and do you want to get inside?" She walks inside, her face still riddled with concern and confusion.
"What on earth was going on!" It was less of a question, more a demand.
"I could hear you screaming from my house!" Now you felt confused. Screaming? Somehow it made sense as you reached a hand to your sore throat.
"Its nothing, I'm fine. You should really go home and sleep." Evelyn swiftly reached down, grabbing your hand, holding it up to your face, you stared as it shook, "Thats not nothing y/n." You had never seen her so serious.
"It was just a bad dream, thats all." You smile to try and convince her that you were fine.

No matter how she protested, you guided her towards the door instructing her back to bed. Once you had seen her safely back in her house, you closed your front door, getting back into bed. You didnt sleep another wink that night. Your mind racing and the fears creeping in.

By 6, you had abandoned all hope of sleep till later on, so instead, you got up and dressed; grabbing your favourite book and some fresh berries from the refrigerator, and packing them as well as a blanket into the basket on the front of your bicycle. Riding away to the park, watching as the sunrise illuminated the streets.

After reading in the park for hours, while families came and left with small children and dogs, you decided to head to a coffee shop in town. Standing your bike up outside, you grab your book and head inside. "Morning Angie!" You smile at the beaming waitress behind the counter. "Goodmorning darling, what is it today then?" You look up at the list of possible orders written in white chalk above the counter. A little star next to a majority of them. You were determined to try everything the small coffee shop had to offer after simply falling in love with the taste of their creamy perfect drinks when you first arrived in Brooklyn. Angie had started putting little stars by the orders to help you keep track of what you had tried. You had yet to find a drink you didnt live from the shop. "Can I have a caramel latte with extra cream and a slice of that delicious brownie you make." She smiles and begins to prepare your order as you make your way to a table, sitting down and beginning to read once again.

You drown out the noise of the little bell ringing everytime someone entered or left. "Goodmorning doll." You look up, unable to ignore the familiar voice. You see Bucky stood across the counter, talking to Angie, his smile bright and unwavering. You sip your coffee, and continue to look at the pages, this time not reading, but listening intently to what Bucky had to say, continuing to drink from the mug, making note on how this drink was by far the best you had had yet. "How do you like that one y/n?" Angie calls over to you, causing Bucky's eyes to shoot in your direction. "Definitely a good one, you never cease to amazement me Angie." You call back, sipping at your drink once more, turning your attention back to the book.

It was mere moments before a familiar smirk appeared in the seat opposite you. "I love that book." You glance up, scanning his face as he continues to speak about how much he loved the same books as you. You could tell he had read and adored it by the way his eyes shone with excitement as he discussed it with you. It felt like time stopped and you and him were the only two in the world, but the time flew away from your grasp as you sat talking to Bucky about all the little things you favoured the most.
