You sit waiting for Bruce to come back, a small knock at the door catches your attention. You look up to see Thor, making his way over to you.
"I'm sorry for leaving...again." You whisper, almost unable to find your voice.
"It wasn't your fault, out father can be unnecessarily cruel sometimes, he put Loki in the dungeon for a while... but loki did try to take over the world." You laugh slightly at the thought of it, knowing that's exactly something Loki would do.
"Why am I not surprised by that?" Thor placed his hand on yours,
"I had the dreams too. You being trapped and all I could do was watch. I tried so hard to help, to say something... anything." You place your head on his shoulder, sighing,
"I know if it were real, you would've helped. It wasn't you, it was my mind."

"Hate to interrupt but there's a slight problem." You and Thor go to the window, followed by Pietro.
"Oh no, I thought we'd have more time before they got here." You watch as a huge ship made it's decent from the sky, casting a shadow over half of the city. You run to the room you woke up in, rummaging through your bag, grabbing the orb. You rush back to the others,
"Hey Stark, you know what's best to do with this," you toss him the orb, noticing everyone had changed into their suits, "Cap, that looks just as bad as it did in the 40's." You smile before making your way to the balcony, watching as over a dozen creatures climbed the buildings towards you.
"Holy crap!" Steve jumps off the building, shield in hand, making you jump. One by one the avengers make their way out, starting to fight the growing crowd of people after the orb.
"You protect this, got it?" Tony passed you the orb before following the rest.

You began to fight the few Chitauri that made it past the others on the ground. One of them grabbed you, beginning to drag you across the balcony as another headed towards you, you pushed yourself of the ground, creating enough momentum to take out the two of them, you hold your hand out, a sword forming, glowing as it appeared, you drove it down into the creature on the ground before turning swiftly, slicing the head off another of the chitauri. You begin to turn once more, swinging the sword towards the next person who came near you, your eyes grew wide as it hit a metal arm, as your eyes met, you felt a loss for words. "Bucky..." you whisper, stepping backwards into the railing. He moves closer to you, not saying a word. As if he never knew you. You hold your sword up, blocking the incoming hit from his metal arm, he continued to push forcing you into the metal railing, you could feel the metal digging into your spine, "I won't fight you Buck," you push back with the sword before using the railing for support. You kick Bucky backwards, flipping over the railing, you close your eyes tightly as you feel yourself begin to fall, suddenly, you feel your shoulder pull out of the socket as the force of your fall is stopped, Bucky stood on the balcony, holding your hand. You look up at him, hanging over a thousand feet from the ground.

He dragged you back up, you clutch your shoulder as the pain began to throb down your arm. "I know you." You look at Bucky as his voice makes your hear ache, "I see you in my dreams, tell me why?" It was less of a question, more of a demand, you placed your hand on Bucky's cheek (deciding not to move your other arm to avoid the pain) you lean in towards him, kissing him, feeling him grow less tense. Your lips fit just as perfect as they did the day he left, all of his pain; and yours, poured out into one kiss. A singular perfect moment, his arms moved up to your back, you both pull away from the kiss, your forehead pressed agains his. His breathing was heavy as he whispered to you, "I'm sorry..." Before you could respond, he pushed your shoulder, popping it back into the socket, you gasp as the pain shoots down your arm, moving your head into his chest as he placed a hand in your hair.

"Y/n, what's going on up there?" You heard Wanda through your earpiece, you don't say anything, fighting back the tears as you finally found yourself back in Bucky's arms, finally feeling whole again.
"Someone go help her." You don't hear Tony as you focused on the sound of his heart beat. He was real, he was here. It wasn't a dream. He was alive.
"Bucky?" You turn to see Steve, stood by the door, completely puzzled as he met Bucky's gaze. Steve looked at you, before you both looked back at Bucky, who was now looking down at you, his arms still wrapped around your waist,
"It's a long story-" you begin as you see the cogs turning in his head,
"One that needs to wait till later." Steve threw his shield, it flying past your head, missing it by mere millimetres as it hit a chitauri that was climbing up the side of the tower.
"We need to get the orb somewhere safe, I can't keep it safe on my own much longer, " you pick your sword up off the ground, looking over the edge of the balcony at all the chaos below.
"You're not on your own, you have me." Bucky grabbed your hand, you both stood, ready to fight. Together.
"Rogers, Clint needs backup." Natasha said through the earpiece, Cap nodded at you both before making his way to the roof to help Clint.
"Are you ready for this?" You look to Bucky, unable to hide your smile as he turned to face you.
"I'm ready for anything, if it's with you."
