As the sun crept in through the curtains, you began to wake up, feeling so warm and cozy, lay in bed. Entangled in sheets. As you focused on the sound of breathing filling the silence of the room. As you thought back to the night before, Evie on the couch, you realised it wasn't your breathing you could hear.
You realised that you were lay on Bucky's chest, your limbs intertwined, his arm wrapped around your shoulders. "Morning doll," your thoughts were interrupted by a sleepy voice, you push yourself up so you're sat on the bed. You rub your eyes and move the hair that had flopped down into your face back. "Did you know you talk in your sleep?" Bucky lay there smirking, his arms now up behind his head. "Why didn't you wake me?" You watched him as the light sparkled in his eyes. "You looked so peaceful, I could hardly move you and disturb your sleep." He now sat up, twisting round to sit on the edge of the bed. He pulled his trousers on, standing up and grabbing his shirt off the floor.
Suddenly a bang came from the other side of the house, both of your eyes dart to the bedroom door. As you get up and open the bedroom door, you see a shadow moving around the living room. Cautiously, you make your way down the hall, Bucky following close behind. As you near the end of the corridor, you grab a candle holder off the shelf, hearing the clattering continue. You quickly move to the living room, dropping your guard as you see Evie stood in the kitchen going through the cupboards.
"Jesus Evie you scared the life outta me!" You huff, making your way to the kitchen counter and putting the candlestick down.
"Sorry y/n," as Evie turned round to face you, she gasped. "Y/n y/l/n! You had a busy night!" Her smile grew wider as you turned to see a shirtless Bucky stood behind you. "Would you put your damn clothes on!" You gesture to the shirt in his hand causing him to grin too, "Evie, no its not like that." You move round to the oven, and grab the eggs out of the fridge. "Now sit your hung-over ass down." You nudge her shoulder jokingly."Bucky, how do you have your eggs?" You tilt your head slightly to look over your shoulder.
"Sorry darlin' I should really be going. I need to make sure my friend Steve hasn't been arrested yet for lying on his enlistment forms." You feel your heart sink slightly knowing he was leaving now but put on a big fake smile before turning to face him. "Well you best be going then." You follow him to the front door, telling Evelyn to go watch the food.
"Thankyou, for everything." You grab your purse, grabbing a note out to give him. He immediately stopped you, "I'm not taking your money, I dont want it." You still place it in his hand, "i must thank you some way." Instantly a mischievous grin appeared on his lips. "A date."
"What?"
"Go on a date with me, I wont take your money so to repay me you can let me take you out." He leant against the doorframe waiting for a reply.
"... 7pm tonight." You shut the door, turning to see Evelyn stood listening to the conversation. The moment the door shut she started jumping and squealing and giggling, you couldn't help but join in. What you didnt know was, as Bucky made his way down the steps, he heard the burst of excitement and he felt a warmth grow within him.
