Epilogue

Frankie

For the first time I'm on my own. No big brother or his friends looking over my shoulder every time I want to go out. No questions about when I'll be back or who I'll be with. I'm my own boss and I get to finally find out just who I really am.

Lily is the best roommate I could ask for. She keeps her own schedule, does her own thing but still manages to be friendly, do her share of the chores and ask me to join her for nights out. Which I have several times in the last few weeks.

Maggie has joined us and despite her being in a fully committed relationship and a new mom, they are great to hang with and I think we're going to be good friends. I hope that I can do this and not screw anything up.

I've been around the guys for so long having any female friends that weren't interested in one or all of them is odd. Granted, Maggie has already bagged Trent, Lily likes to run the field. She says a variety of men now prepares her for the one she'll be with the rest of her life.

I have to work tonight and Lily has come in to hang out until I'm done to give me a ride home. I could have asked Mitch or any of the guys to give me a ride but I don't want to rely on them for help. Mitch needs to know that I can handle it by myself just as much as I do.

It's busy for a Thursday night and with Jeremy MIA and Trent on the beach again with his new family, we're all picking up the slack. Trent even made the decision to make Harper an assistant manager while Jeremy is gone.

It makes sense I guess, he's been apart of the business since it started and before with his parents. He knows just as much about the job as anyone probably more. The guy's smarter than any guy I know. I'm proud of him as much as I'm annoyed by him.

"Frankie, can you seat these guys up at the two top in the bar?" Harper asks me and I turn around to tell him no, I see none other than Derrick Bradford from the Forty Niners.

"Of course. Welcome to the Full Circle, how are you guys doing tonight?" Smiling, I take them up to my open table.

"Better and better." Derrick grins with a wink at me when I look up at those dark green eyes. "Please tell me that you're taking us to your section?"

"Absolutely." Oh My God! He's flirting with me. Motioning to the table I wait for them to sit. "Can I get you something to start you off, beer, wine, whiskey...."

"I'd start with your name and number." The guy with him swats Derrick on the back of the head. "Ow! Fuck I was joking, Tyler... shit!" Rubbing the back of his head.

"I get that a lot here. I guess you're just one of the crowd." My smartass remark makes his friend Tyler laugh.

"That'll teach you, dickhead!" Tyler teases as Derrick scowls.

He lets that hang for a moment. "A beer first then... I forgot my manners."

"Same and can we get your name?" Tyler asks, opening up his menu. "Just so we can apologize when he sticks his other foot in his mouth."

"Frankie. I'll be back with those beers." Heading back to the bar, I slide through the pass through and start pouring the first beer.

"Honey, do you know who you're waiting on?" Lily leans over the bar to quiz me.

"Yep! The running back of the Niners and hometown boy made good, Derrick Bradford and his buddy Tyler. I didn't get a last name." Setting down the first beer, I start on the second.

"Tyler Emerson, he's only the one of the best physical therapists in football. He replaced Jake Brewer as the Bradford's personal PT. I make a point to know the important details of football. It's a great talking point on dates and guys love a girl who can talk sports." Lily shrugs sipping her drink. "Think you could introduce me?"
