„Woah it looks like it's slowly burning away!", Kai says, amazed by what he sees.

„It will continue to do so for about three days, after that it should be gone, as well as the curse. You will feel the timer breaking, the numbers will burn away at the end.", Yeonjun says, trying to get Kai to put on his shirt again, though he doesn't seem to want to, is too fascinated by the process.

„Doesn't that hurt if it burns?", Yeosang asks, seemingly worried like others in the room too.

„It actually doesn't. It's a bit warm but not hot. It's rather comfortable. My body also feels just fine. In fact I feel more healthy than I ever have.", Kai answers.

„That's a side effect, since basically a part of my power is flowing through your body it's cleaning up any dangers to it too, including the curse. It's just there to clean up.", Yeonjun explains, trying to get ready for Soobin's curse next.

„So that's why?"

„The curse is pretty much a chain to your body, that's why the cure need to be taken over the blood too. I mean, after all the timer makes sure to kill you when it's time, so it Must be everywhere, it wouldn't make sense if for example only your hand died. The curse makes sure the owner dies so it's everywhere, so that there's no chance of survival."

„May I ask how long you studied this curse?"

„A while. I tried it on myself as well as knew some people. You're the first one I'm trying this cure on though, other than myself. But in the end I'm human too as you can see, since it works for you like it did for me."

„Wait wait wait, did you just experiment on him?!", Hongjoong screams, pretty shocked by what he just heard.

„Don't act like he's not human Hongjoong! After all he's just like we all are, Taehyun and Kai too, me and Beomgyu too!", Soobin protests.

„Well, to be honest you four are more than I am. My genes have been altered, remember?", Beomgyu cuts in.

„Yeah so his body is a bit different. But the rest of us not!", Soobin says again.

„Taehyun is a dog...", Jongho mumbles.

„Then again his body is and stays like a normal human. So is mine. The curse can make us change our forms for example, but in the end I'm just as mortal somehow as all of you are. The only difference for me is that if I'm killed I get revived, I don't age and can't die. But Beomgyu can still slice me up in half and I will die. Curses can kill me too. They either just vanish after I'm revived or I just got so annoyed by the curse that I made a cure. If the cure didn't work I just died again and had to try it from scratch anew.", Yeonjun explains as he sets up a glass over fire, putting in a lot of the clear water he had gotten with Soobin and waits for it to boil.

„What kind of life have you lived Yeonjun....", Taehyun mumbles, Yeonjun shrugging his shoulders as answer.

„A long one. Long and I got bored sometimes. Thousands of years are a long time. And once you've discovered about everything that can be discovered it's gonna get pretty boring."
