Chapter 17

Anna's POV
We arrived at the safe house and Maggie and Haley both started checking the rooms to make sure it was safe for us to get settled in. "All clear." Haley said. I went to what would be my room and started unpacking I was putting my clothes up when I noticed that I packed some of my stuff from high school. Old photos, some keepsakes and a necklace that I had not only thought I lost but forgot about I sat on the bed still holding the necklace in my hands. I was lost in thought when Maggie came in and asked what was going on. "Huh oh nothing just thinking." I said. "What are you thinking about?" She asked. I showed her the necklace and told her the story behind it, that it was my birth moms' and that it was one of the only things that I had of her, my birth father and my biological older brother left. Not saying that I didn't love my mom and Noah but I miss my birth family. "Hey your mom and Noah know that you love them and that you have enough love in your heart for your birth family also." She said. I know that she is wright but it just makes me sad to think about it. Haley walked into the room and asked what was going on I told her and she also gave me a hug her and Maggie both reassured me that everything was going to be just fine. Then Haley asked what we wanted to eat for dinner and we all agreed on Tacos.

Voight's POV
Atwater and agent Zidan went to check out the internet cafe where our suspect was last seen entering and Burgess and Ruzek we're trying to dig up anything on this guy that could lead us to what or why he is after Benson.

Atwater and Zidan came walking up the stairs. "Hey you guys get anything?" I asked. "Nothing." Atwater said. "The guy at the counter says that Grayson may have been in there but he can't be sure." Zidan said. "We may have something." Ruzek said as him and Burgess walked into the room. "Ya I managed to get ahold of the counselor that was treating him while he was incarcerated and the mere mention of Grayson's name made this guy want to bring his lunch up." Burgess said. "Enough with the pitch get to the point." I said. "This guy not only didn't show any remorse for shooting up the school and killing so many of his classmates, he also said that he wish he could have done things to the bodies once they were gone and while he was still inside the counselor had him do different types of therapy one of which was animal therapy and they seen a very high increase in their canine mortality and injury rates and some of what these dogs were put through is enough to make Attila the Hun sick." She said holding back her vomit. "That's disgusting and disturbing but that doesn't explain why he broke out of prison and cross state lines to come after Anna." Atwater said. "She's not done yet." Ruzek said. "After the prison caught on to what was happening they cut off all his privileges to the outside world and threw him in solitary confinement and he has been there ever since." Burgess said. "Ok I'm still not seeing why he's coming after Anna." Agent Zidan said. "That'll be clear in a few seconds we're just waiting for a fax from the prison." Ruzek said as the fax machine started beeping. "I swear that I did not time this." He said as Burgess grabbed the paper. The color practically drained from her face once she saw what was on it. "What is on this paper?" I asked as I grabbed the paper from her. After reading and seeing what was on this paper not only did I feel like throwing up but my blood started to boil.

So help me God he is never getting anywhere near this girl again.
