My name is Anna Benson and today I will be starting my first day at Firehouse 51. I walk up outside of station and I see to guys working on some of the equipment. "Hay." I said a little nervus. "Hello." The slightly shorter of the two said. "Hi I'm looking for Brett and or Foster." I said. "Hey Cruz have you seen Brett or Foster?" The slightly taller one said. "Ya I'll go get them." Cruz said. "So were did you come from?" The shorter of the two asked. "New York City." I said. "I meant what fire house?" He said. "Oh uh from 86 on North Harlem, was there for a few years." I said just as a blonde haired woman and a brunette haired woman walked out. "Hey Anna Benson, Sylvie Brett, Emily Foster." The blonde said as they both extended there hands introducing themselves. "Hey I've heard like a million good things about both of you." I said as we shake hands. "Mostly lies." Brett said as we start walking away. "Speak for yourself mines probably all lies" Foster said. "So that's Ritter and Galo completely harmless, I mean Galo may ask you out." Brett says as we start approaching three people who were talking. "Hey guys I would like to are new paramedic Anna Benson, Anna this is Stella Kidd, Lt. Kelly Severide and Cpt. Matthew Casey." Brett said as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "Hey nice to meet you Anna." Lt. Severide said shaking my hand. "Nice to meet you guys too and you can just call me Benson." I said. "Well welcome to 51 Benson." Cpt. Casey said. "Welcome to 51 Benson, always happy to have another women in the house." Stella said. "Do you put a mountain of sugar in your coffee or something, you seem really hyper." I asked Stella jokingly. "No I'm just naturally this sweet." She said causing Severide and Casey to chuckle a little bit. "I can already tell that you and I are going to be good friends." Stella said. "Hey one piece of advice I can give you is don't let Brett drive the rig." Cpt. Casey said jokingly. Brett playfully punched his arm as we continued the tour. "So you and Cpt. Casey?" I said. "Oh no there's nothing there." Brett said. "Really there should be." I said. "I know right." Foster said in agreement. Brett just gave us a sideways smile as we walked into the break room. "Hey guys meet the newest addition to 51 Anna Benson." Foster said. "Hey welcome to 51." A man with a mustache said. Just then the bells went off. "Looks like were going to be throwing you into the deep end on your first day." Brett said. "Sounds like fun to me." I said as I tossed my bag on the ground and we ran towards the ambo. Everyone hopped on the rigs and we headed to the call. I was nervous and excited this wasn't exactly my first emergency call but I was still so nervous about proving that I could do this job. We arrived at the scene and saying it was chaotic would be a understatement. There were three cars piled on top of each other and there was at least two people trapped in the cars. "Wow." Is all that I managed to say. "Haven't seen anything like this?" Brett asked. "Nothing like this." I said. "Be prepared this is just what we can see." Foster said. We were waiting for the guys to get the people out of the car when Cpt. Casey said that they managed to create a way for one of us to get in and before I knew it I volunteered. "Alright let's get you in there." He said. "All do respect I think it should be Brett or me that goes in." Foster said. "Captain I can do this this is not my first rodeo." I said. Casey said I should be the one to do it because there was a better chance of me fitting through because I was shorter than both Foster and Brett. Galo gave me his coat to protect me from the broken metal and glass that was everywhere and I climbed into the car. There was a young woman in the car with a broken arm and leg. "Ma'am my name is Anna, what's yours?" I said. "So,,, Sophia Bishop." She said. "Well Sophia my friends and I are going to do are best to get you out of here." I said as I placed the C-collar on her. I did my best to calm her down and patch her up until we were able to get her out and in the ambo. Within a few moments Severide told me to put the coat over both of us cause they were going to use the jaws of life to cut us out. I put the coat over our heads and I heard the jaws start up. It sounds a little like a angry jackhammer hitting everything in it's path. The sound  of the metal bending was honestly one of the scariest things that I have ever heard. Sophia screamed at the top of her lungs. I couldn't tell if it was from the pain or fear. "Hey Sophia I need you to listen to me, we are going to get out of here and we're going to be just fine." I said. I don't know if I was trying to reassure her or myself. Not long after that they managed to get us out and Foster, Brett and I got Sophia on the stretcher and on her way to Chicago med.
