Chapter 14

Anna's POV
Voight was going over what they had so far when I felt my phone go off I checked it and there was a voicemail from Blake. I excused myself to the break room to listen to it
"Hey Anna it's Blake to be honest I don't know what to say here I am afraid for you, I'm worried about what's going on, I wish that I could be there for you to be able to keep you safe, but I know that Voight and his team are there with you, I guess what I want to say is I will give you all the space you need to handle this but if you want me to be there for you I am only one call away I will be here for whatever and whenever you need me."
"Sounds like you have yourself a good one." Haley said as her and agent Bell popped up behind me. "Why are you two eavesdropping on something personal." I said. "We came to make sure you were ok and heard you playing the voicemail." Maggie said. "Ya and trust me when I say that it's hard to find someone who not only cares about you but is not afraid to say or show it." Haley said. "All right ladies enough of the slumber party gossip we got some thing." Halsted said. "I don't know how you put up with him." I said to Haley and she just shrugged as the three of us walked out of the room. "Alright so we know that this man Robert Grayson has excepted and is likely on his way to Chicago for Benson." Voight said. "But why now didn't this happen when Benson was like seventeen." Halstead said. "Ya and even if this guy wanted to get some type of revenge for his incarceration how on earth would he knows that she is in Chicago?" Burgess asked. "My name and face has been in the paper and news a few times since I moved to Chicago." I said. "Ok so protective custody who's going with?" Atwater asked. "Well I will." Agent Bell said. "I will too." Agent Zidan said. "Is there room for four?" Haley said. "Guys I appreciate you all looking out for me but I don't need 24/7 security." I said. "Until we catch this guy yes you do." Voight said. I knew it was pointless to try and convince any of them otherwise so I just let it go. "All right then agent Bell and Upton the two of you will go with Benson." Voight said. "Alright let's get going." Maggie said as her and Haley grab their coats and practically pushed me out the door. "What are we doing?" I asked. "Going to get some clothes and stuff." Haley said. "Am I allowed to make a couple of calls first?" I asked. "Make them while we're in the car." Maggie said. They put me in the back as they both get in front and we start driving. I call my mom first to tell her what is going on and to tell Noah that I love him. Then I call Blake
Gallo's POV
We had just came back from a call and I was about to head to the bunker room when my phone rang I checked to see who it was and it was Anna
Gallo: Hey what's going on?
Anna: They are putting me into protective custody.
Gallo: What does that mean exactly?
Anna: That I basically have two babysitters until they catch this guy.
Gallo: What do you need me to do, just tell me and I will do it.
Anna: Just be you and maybe tell everyone what's going on and that I'm ok and I will talk to them as soon as I can.
Gallo: No problem you got it.
Anna: Hey my mom might be calling.
Gallo: Why is that?
Anna: I called and told her so she might want to talk to everyone make sure there ok.
Gallo: Understood, just tell the people looking after you that you better come back in one piece.
Anna: I'll be sure to tell them, Hey I love you.
Gallo: Love you too.
This is not how I wanted her to hear that I love her. "Hey everything ok?" Casey asks as he walks in. "Ya it was Anna she has to go into protective custody for a little while." I said. "That sucks, you ok?" He said. "Yeah we told each other that you love each other." I said. "That's great man." He said.
