We were all at Molly's celebrating the end of my first shift at 51 and getting to know everyone a little better. "So Anna how would you say your first day went." Brett asked. "A little bit crazier than I was expecting, but good nonetheless." I said. "Glad to hear it." Herrmann said. "Just to let you know it's not always like this." Stella said. "Ya sometimes it's even crazier." Cruz said. "Stop trying to scare the poor girl away on her first day." A tall man with a black hair and a black mustache said as Stella smacked cruises arm and handed me a beer. "Anna I would like to introduce you to battalion chief Wallace Boden." Casey said introducing us. "Nice to meet you chief." I said shaking his hand. "Please everyone just calls me Boden." Boden said. "Well since you go by Bowden I'll go by either Anna or Benson." I said. "I like this girl." Boden said. "So Benson, most people would have sat back and watched the more experienced work before they jumped right in." Herrmann said. "People always told me even though I'm adopted I'm a lot like my mom." I said. "Sounds like my type of woman." Foster said walking up beside us. "Yeah Mom's always been the follow your gut type of person." I said. "Hey if you don't mind me asking what does your mom do?" Brett asked. "She is a captain in the NYPD." I said with pride. "Must be proud of her little girl following in her footsteps." Herrmann said. "Yeah I think she's mostly terrified." I said. "Ok so Anna tell us a little bit about yourself." Severide said. "What do you want to know?" I asked. "Whatever you fell comfortable telling us." Stella said. "Well ok I'll tell you a little bit about me if you guys tell me about yourselves." I said. "Sounds faire." Brett said. "Ok so my name is Anna Ocean Benson and I'm from NYC, I love music especially country, I love cooking and baking, reading and writing, Listening to music, Playing the guitar, watching my favorite TV shows and movies, Arts and Crafts, Walking/Playing with my dog. I said. "Wow that's something." Cruz said. "Ya my childhood wasn't exactly what people think about when they picture what they want to give there kids." I said. "Hey scars show where you have been they don't have to say where your going." Severide said. "I know that believe me but sometimes it's hard not to wonder if when people look at me do they see me or do they see my scars." I said taking a sip of my beer. "Trust me when I say I understand that feeling but I also know that the people really care about you will love you because of your scars it's not in spite of them." Brett said. "My mom and my aunts have been telling me the exact same thing since I was seventeen." I said. "Sounds like a couple of smart women." Foster said. "Some of the brightest I know." I said. "Ok, so a deals a deal so what do you want to know about us?" Casey asked. "Whatever you guys feel comfortable telling me." I said.
