Anna's POV

Mom had to head back to New York yesterday for a case and today, I was heading back to work today after Chief giving me a few days off for some extra recovery. I was walking out of my apartment when I hear three familiar voices. "Well look who has decided to leave the bat cave." Stella said. "Look how much you have changed girl." Foster said. "Do you even remember what daylight is?" Brett asked. "Ha Ha very funny you three smart-alecks." I said as I walked over to them and give them a hug. "Seriously though how are you doing?" Brett asked. "Better thanks for asking." I said. "Hey what are sisters for." Stella said as we all got into her car. "So how was your time off?" Foster asked. "I wouldn't call it time off but it was ok I guess." I said. "Your right so sorry about that." Brett said. "Hey it's ok, no one knows how to deal with this." I said. "Can we change the subject?" Stella asked. "PLEASE." We all said in unison. "So Stella how have things been going between you and Severide?" I asked. "Really good actually, Oh look were already heir." She said as she parked the car. Once we got out and started walking in practically everyone came out and welcomed me back. "Welcome back Benson." Casey said. "It's good to see you again." Gallo said as him and Ritter gave me a hug. Everyone welcomed me back and asked how I was doing and how the case was going. "From what I understand good Sgt. Voight is keeping me updated." I said. "That's good, are you sure your ready to come back." Boden asked. "Yes Chief 100%." I said. "All right then go get dressed." He said. It felt great to be back but I was still having flash backs to that day. 'Mom was helping me with the PT I had to do to regain the ability to walk and breath on my own when agents Bell and Zidan walked in and asked if they could speak to my mom. I said that they could while the nurse was helping me into my chair. I couldn't hear what they were saying but I could see that they were all upset.' I was snapped out of my train of thought by the bells going off. Ambulance 61, Truck 81, Squad 3 structure fire at  4655 N Lincoln Ave. "Looks like were thronging you back into the fire Kid." Herrmann said. "Just like my original first day." I said as I hoped in the Ambo it felt so good to be back.
