I wanted to look good tonight. Not for my "blind date" that I could care less about, but this is Andrews big show. I actually put some of Joe's cologne on.

I put on a black button up shirt, with nice pair of jeans. I smooth my hair back in front of the mirror and walk into he living room where Chantelle is waiting.

"Hey," I say as I enter the room, Joe follows seconds after.

"Well, I can definitely tell the two of you are brothers," Chantelle smiles.

I look over at Joe who also is wearing a black button up shirt and dark blue jeans. Even his hair is smoothed back just like my own. I groan aloud. "Dude there is no way I'm changing,"

"Uh I'm not either," he give me a I'm-your-older-bother-so-I-win look.

I shoot a I-don't-give-a-crap-that-your-older-I'm-not-changing one back at him.

"You two look cute, I don't think either of you should Change," Chantelle tell cuts in.

"No," I say, "Joe is going to go Change, and I'm going to go get in the car. Bye." I dash out the front door and to the car - which is unfortunately locked. I should have thought of this. I think as I wait for the "love couple" and think about Carmen. I wonder about where she is? What's she's doing? I even wonder if she's mad about me going on a date. I was such a jerk in that supplies closet. I asked her out, then realized I had a date on Friday.  I'm not a player, but in that moment I kinda felt like one. I mean who does that? Ask a girl out and then say "Oh I already have a date. Why don't I put you on the list though" I lean my head against the car door. What's wrong with me?

Just then Chantelle and Jo walk out of the house; to my delight Jo is now wearing a pastel blue button up shirt.

"Ready?" I ask.

"Ready he mumbles back,"

I walk into the building where Andrews art show is. He decided not to have it at uniquely's because the building was to small, but a friend let him borrow the place for the night.

Andrew did a great job of decorating, it's very classy, but still holds a youthful fill.  I look around the place different works of art are everywhere even though each section has theme I walk to a corner where one picture sits on the wall with a light directly above it giving it beautiful look.

I recognize the painting immediately. It's the picture I drew on the first day of class the one of my comic book hero, icon holding the cop, divinity  also the character based off Carmen in his arms-mid air. I don't remember what happened to the original sketch, but I remember drawing it on the canvas and adding light color to it. Andrew must have painted it for me. The picture looks amazing.

"I knew you would love it," Andrew walks up behind me.

"It's perfect dude," I smile at Andrew, he and my brother have a been best friends since college and now he's a part of my own family, "Thanks for painting over it, and for putting it in the spotlight it deserved," I joke.

"Haha, I found secluded corner to put it in that's why it's here," he jesters around as if it's not the easiest spot to see am from the entrance.

His phone buzzes and he checks it; his face lights up with excitement, "She's here! Your gonna love her." he winks at me, "Don't move, I'll bring her to you." He darts off.

I assume he's talking about my blind date. Shoot! I still don't know her name.
