●(Carmens POV ) ●
I stand at my door waiting for Kent arrive. He's late. I don't care much, though. My life has been pretty nice lately. I think I'm happy. I don't feel disconnected anymore. Some days aren't the best, but for the most part, I'm better. My family is better Andrew is happy and he's engaged to Cosmo. Brittany and Ashley are doing well too. Emily and Emit are happy together and so are Fred and Katie.
Kent and I are doing great. Life is good right now and I'm happy. Trevor was sent to prison, and the Lanes got the closure they needed.
I had a fantastic rest of the year and now it's the summer before senior year. And I'm excited about it. Kent car pulls up and I run to it.
"You're late." I state as I get into the car.
"Yeah, batman, I am,"
"Superman should never be late."
I'm batman and he is superman. It's our nicknames for each over. I'm his Lois Lane and he's my Robin. I look at him and lean forward In my seat and kiss him.
"What was that for?" he aks's
"I love you," this is the first time I've said it to him I'm not sure how he'll react.
"I love you more," he smiles bigger than I've ever seen, "By the way what took you so long?I've loved you like forever, but I knew I had to let you say it first "
And just like that he says the most super thing ever! Although I felt so disconnected I was more connected then I knew.
