Chapter 28

Third Person POV

Hope tried to wake up Dylan after sitting there for a bit and couldn't. The house was shaking and things were breaking. She had to get going before the whole house would probably collapse. She gets him up and wraps his arm around her. She starts walking up the stairs with him.

Aries tackles Kayden down to the ground and then starts throwing punches. Kayden grabs a knife from his boot and rams the knife right into Aries side. Aries groans and falls aside onto the ground. Kayden gets up slowly, breathing heavily and he spits out blood. Aries grabs the knife and pulls it out of him, groaning loudly.

Kayden's crew was tossing grenades and that's what was causing the explosions. They also had bombs planted all over the place, getting ready to detonate it if they needed. Kayden gets up and kicks at Aries then gets on top. He punches Aries.

"You killed my sister!" Kayden yells in anger and continues to throw punches. "Talia loved you!" Tears start coming down his face as he thought about Talia. Aries takes the punches, but then one of the wolves grabs a piece of wood that broke off from the wall and hit the back of Kayden's head with it. Kayden groans and hits the ground, his hand goes to grab the back of his head.

Aries finally realizes that Kayden blames him for Talia's death. That he wasn't coming for Aries for what Sean did, but what he thought Aries did. Aries looks at Kayden as he pushes himself up.

"I never killed Talia." Aries says and stands up. Kayden turns onto his stomach so he can push himself up.

"I saw you next to her. You killed her." Kayden mutters and Aries shakes his head.

"I didn't kill her. I tried to save her Kayden. I tried." Aries frowns. Kayden  grabs a gun off the counter and aims it at Aries.

"I saw her dead in your arms." Kayden then shoots at Aries in the chest and takes another shot. Aries groans as he leans back against the counter. Kayden takes another shot at Aries as he takes a step closer. "And now you'll die." Kayden says and presses the gun to Aries' head.

Zane sees all this and pushes the guy he was fighting off of him. He runs at Kayden and shoves him aside. Zane like his brother, did not want to kill anyone.

"Kayden stop! We just want the boy and we'll leave!" Zane says once he got off Kayden.

"It's too late to stop now. You're all here." Kayden tries to get up, but another explosion happens causing him to fall.

"He never killed Talia. He loved Talia, he would never hurt her. I know you can feel it that Aries would never hurt Talia." Zane says trying to convince Kayden.

"Zane!" Hope calls out and Zane looks back to see Hope and Dylan. Dylan's arm was around Hope, but he was still unconscious. Zane runs over to the both of them and frowns seeing the condition Dylan was in.

"Holy shit. What did they do to him?" Zane grabs a hold of Dylan, helping her. Hope looks around at the mess of everything.

"We need to get out of here now." Hope says and starts walking towards the door.

"No one's going anywhere." Kayden says and holds what looks like a detonator. He stood by the door watching them all. "You're all going to die here." He says and runs out the house, pressing the detonator. Hope tries to flash out with Dylan, but they don't exactly get out. The explosion sends them flying in different directions.

Dylan hits the ground and rolls pretty far. That causes him to wake up and he groans in pain. Hope lays on ground in the opposite direction of Dylan, knocked out. Aries was on the ground infront of the house, rolling around in pain. Dylan looks around at his surroundings and sits up slowly. He had his arm wrapped around his stomach and winces.
