Chapter 23

Third Person POV

Dylan and Hope had returned from their little day off together, getting themselves ready for their trip tomorrow. It was a 3 hour drive to Savannah and they wanted to get up early to get going. A lot of students were leaving to go back home for the summer and a lot were staying. Alaric had gotten his things together and left with his two daughters to go see their mother for the summer. Rafael and Landon were still preparing for their trip, but also Rafael was nervous.

Rafael had never met his dad and was always stuck in foster care with Landon. He was afraid his dad might not want to see him or his dad might not be what he expected. 

"Landon what if we showed up and he decided he didn't like that he said yes to seeing me than he kicks me out? What if he hates me?" Rafael asks as packs a few things.

"Rafael he's your dad. No matter what happens, he can never hate you. He's your dad and I'm sure he is just as nervous as you are." Landon says to comfort Rafael and pats his back. Rafael sighs and doesn't say anything as he continues packing. "Raf I will be here with you if anything, you have me by your side through all this so do not worry."

Rafael turns to look at Landon before setting his stuff down. He gives Landon a hug and Landon smiles. Landon could always make Rafael feel better in alot of situations. Rafael then pulls away.

"And I can't thank you enough Lan. I appreciate you coming with me to see my dad. You're honestly the only person I would like to be by my side to see my dad." Rafael tells Landon which makes Landon very happy. 

"Brothers for life right?" Landon asks and Rafael nods.

"Brothers for life." They fist bump each other and go back to packing up.

Dylan and Hope had made their way back to the school after having their day of fun.

"So you have 3 aunts and 1 uncle on your mom's side?" Hope asks Dylan and Dylan nods. "And 2 uncles on your dad's side?" She asks again and he nods again.

Hope continues,"Aunts on your mom's side names are Sage who is the second oldest and she's 26. Ava who's basically the middle child and she's 24. Mia who's the youngest and she's 21. Your uncle's name is Owen."

"Wow. You're doing really good a memorizing so far." Dylan laughs softly as they walked into the school.

"I'm trying." Hope smiles and walks with Dylan. "Now onto your dad's side with your two uncles. Aries and Zane who are both wolves. Your dad side is where the wolf gene came from." Hope continues to say as they walk to Dylan's room.

"Yes! Wow that was good. You did good baby." Dylan takes Hope's hand and they get to his room. He unlocks the door and opens the door for them go in. They walk in and Dylan shuts the door.

"I'm trying to not embarrass myself when I meet them because that would be bad." Hope shakes her head and goes to lay down on Dylan's bed.

"Yeah it's a crazy family, but I'm sure they'll be happy to see you and meet you." Dylan goes to lay down with Hope.

"I hope they are." Hope lays on her side to look at Dylan.

"You'll be fine Hope. They aren't that bad." Dylan smiles and pulls the blanket up over the both of them. "Now let's get some sleep for tomorrow." He leans in and kisses her lips softly. She kisses him back and then they cuddle each other. Soon they both also fall asleep.

The next day, Dylan and Hope got up real early to get going since it was going to be a long drive.

"Are you ready Hope?" He asks her as he grabs the latch of his suitcase and holds it. He had his dufflebag too and waited for her. She nods and smiles.
