Easter

The next few days go by in a blur. We are constantly doing something with someone.

Today is Easter and ducky insisted that he host. Tali couldn't be more excited. She woke up before the sun was up and has asked us if it was time to go every five minutes since.

Finally it's time to go. We offer Gibbs a ride but he just says that he will meet us there. Tali skips off to the car and gets in cheerfully humming.

"If only she was this happy every day." I say quietly to myself.

"Hey," He says putting a hand on my shoulder. "She will be. We will figure out whatever is going on at school."

I nod my head and tali yells from the car.

"Hurry up! Or else we'll be late!"

Tony laughs and I smile and slightly shake my head.

Even though we hit a bit of traffic on the way we are still the first ones there. Tali rushes out of the car and runs up to his front door.

She excitedly knocks and as soon as he answers she runs up and hugs him.

"Ducky!"

"Tali so good to see you!"

She lets go of him and looks up excited and happy.

"Victoria is out back if you want to go play with her."

She happily nods her head and runs inside.

"Happy Easter Ducky!" I say as I give him a hug.

"You too. It's so good to have you all here! We have all missed you."

"We've missed you too."

"Come in! Breena is in the kitchen helping me make food and Jimmy and Kaise are in the back setting up games for the kids."

Not too long after McGee and his family show up. Then Ellie and Nick, together? Leon and his daughter come soon after them. Then Fornell and Emily. Sloane and lastly Gibbs.

The kids do an Easter egg hunt that was. Tali being the super competitive person she is, has the most eggs. Followed closely by John, McGee's son. Morgan in third and Victoria in last because she gave most of hers to Morgan since she didn't get many.

We all sit down to eat lunch with the kids at a separate but close table.

"I just want to say how wonderful it is to have all of you here today. It's been a long time since we have all been together and I'm so glad we get the chance now. Abby sends her regards and wanted me to tell everyone that she wishes she could be here but Easter is a big thing for her charity and she just couldn't get away."

I look around the table and I smile. It's been a long time since I've done something like this and I miss it.

After a long day the kids are exhausted and everyone is getting ready to leave. The adults all help clean up while the kids lay half asleep on the floor in one room while watching a movie.

We all say our goodbyes and leave. We are half way back to Gibbs when Tali realizes she left her stuffed animal at Ducky's and cannot possibly wait until tomorrow to get it back. So we turn around and go back.

Of course by the time we get there she is asleep. Tony says he'll stay in the car with her and I nod.

I get out and go up to his door and knock. He doesn't answer so I figure he's probably out back. I'm about to walk around when I notice the door is unlocked.

I push open the door and go to the living room where they watched a movie thinking that's probably where she left it.

But I don't find it. Instead I collapse to the floor hysterical.
