One thing about me is that these movies about religion and lesbianism will emotionally fuck me up every time and I will still watch them with passion. But I still have to say this is definitely one of the best movies I have seen surrounding this topic.

Now I liked 'Disobedience' and I LOVE Rachel Weisz but this was just another level. The chemistry and the sexual tension, the push and pull and the goddamn damn washroom scene, that scene me feel both emotionally and physically. It was everything and aside from the ending and religious trauma, this film was such a soft and intimate portrayal of teenage love.

What I personally loved more about the romance was that despite Marike being the religious one, she was the one who initiated most touches. She was literally feral about Jaime, the repressed ones do be the gayest.

When she said, "I can believe enough for the both of us" it hit me hard though. The sad truth is Marike most likely fully believed what she was saying, that they would truly be happy this way. I did not cry until the end of the film and then the third act destroyed me. I cried hard, not for what they had become but for what they could have been.

Side note: Jaime's jawline is so fucking sharp, she can cut me in half with those.
